Life feels different these days- strangely interesting. For the past two years, I wished for an end, always hoping for an escape through death. But now, I find myself wanting to live. I want to work hard, be productive, make my mom proud, and chase a free education. My mom and I are planning to move to another island after I graduate, leaving this place and all its weight behind. It's a chance to start over, to find peace. But there's a new fear inside me now. What if I don't live long enough to see it happen? What if all these hopes I've started to feel are taken from me? What if I die before I've even had a chance to truly live?
