in case anyone is wondering, the reason the women kept getting called off of w3 is because of the black tape along the left side of the volume. their feet would swing and make slight contact with it which results in being called down. (black tape marks out areas you can't touch, much like on the arrete next to the right triangle volume on m3)

IMHO Matt Groom is the better commentator despite his technical shortcomings. He always maintains a neutral stance and is respectful of all nationalities regardless of colour. Those are very important traits for a good commentator. I had been following these IFSC videos for a long time and the commentators have never made me cringe till now.

Liked having the German coach with the commentator. However, towards the beginning on the video he made a comment on a climber drinking water saying "it will also make you heavier" it's crazy how quickly he turned negative on something as small as taking sip of water. Doesn't help clear the stigma that there is a lot of ED's in climbing. Sad to think what kind of pressure he is putting on his climbers.

For anyone wondering why the women kept getting called down on W3, the volume had black tape on the top left of the volume which indicates that you can't use any hold, arête or section of wall on the other side of the black tape. When the women we're called down they were smearing with their feet just on the other side of the tape.
