After reading some critical comments and checking on the facts I will not watch this and won't do it in the future. Money already rules too much in our lives so please don't go with this trend. You don't need to, do you? We usually have a choice - especially if our lives are not on the line. So don't risk the lives of others or even be complicit in the deaths of workers and this corrupt system. They are using the sport for accetance in the world and inside - like all dictatorships did and do. It will be interesting how the Olympics will be dealing with Trump and how he will has changed the US until then...

They need to figure out a system to rank non tops. Natalia Grossman was clearly 2nd by the third boulder

Do some of these young ladies have an eating disorder? Reason I ask, is I was wondering if they try to keep weight off to make themselves as light as possible. Laura looks unwell, like walking dead. Most of them do 🤷🏼‍♂️ I do Calithenics and most of my female friends think you have to be skinny to carry you weight. It's complete Minutia‼️ Pretty sure a lot of these climbers think the same 😢 It should be like boxing. Don't make the weight, don't climb. Why is no one saying nothing about this... Are y'all blind? This is not right at all. It's dangerous and life threatening.

I liked to see some other climbers than normal, makes it more tense. It took me a bit to understand the new format, I don't really know what to think of it yet. Might be cool, might be bad. The place looked super empty, that was weird. Most IFSC cups are looking crowded. Since all the comments are about NEOM and I do not know where or what it is I'll look into that.

I think for the most part, this format is definitely something different than what we're use to, and that in itself was interesting. That being said, this is by far the most underbaked route-setting I've seen in quite some time. I think it would have been way more competitive if they did not showed off the routes beforehand via video. As the commentators were mentioning, 2 mins of resting before going back on for round 2 is practically no rest at all. As far as presentation goes, the individual boulder intro videos were a nice touch. Boulder 2/4 were probably the better ones. 3, as the commentator was mentioning, would have been better ending on a crimp than that jug. Overall, I would not go making this the go-to format for all IFSC events. I'm waiting for two zones and a Top marker to be implemented to assist with better tie-breaking.

i think 2 minutes is way too little, at least give them 2+ so they could get a decent second attempt with a moment to rest. also, what's the point in letting only 5 people attempt the last boulder, why leave out only one?

NEOM, the passion project of Saudi Arabia crown family, where thousands have been forcefully displaced from their land and, allegedly, 21000 people have died since 2017 "working" on Saudi Vision 2030. What a great location to choose for hosting a competition, IFSC.

This competition is gross. No shade to athletes, but lots toward IFSC. Do human rights mean anything?

i kinda dislike this type of format... kinda brutal to knock out an athetle, and in 2m u barely see 2 attempts... to short time (and u have the fact athletes did saw the boulder.. that sucks)

This was the saddest IFSC event I've ever seen. The skill level of the climbers was so weak and broad that the setters could not set anything without looking incompetent. Where were the stars? I didn't really expect to see Brook or Natalia but... oh forget it. Audience? A few cold speed buddies looking for some entertainment in a barren desert. Matt. You did your best to pump up this flat tire, but you lost credibility by not at least alluding to this Potemkin Village of a sporting event.
