Hi great video. i have made new lines for my a2 rear brakes an having trouble with the lines leaking very slightly at the brake cylinders did you have any of this trouble? iv made a double bubble flair

@@iamandisykes yeah they was straight and looked good, just as im bleeding they keep leaking im thinking take the ends out next weekend and check and try again. more brake fluid

Love the A2 videos! Yesterday I replaced my gear selected tower, gearbox oil, engine oil and filter, handbrake cable, had my exhaust welded, then the break piston on the back popped and that had to be replaced.

I saw Elvis on wheeler dealers use a home rechroming kit on a GTV . Think it’s about £80-£90 . It’ll be interesting to see how long the aluminium foil treatment lasts . They certainly look a lot better than they did

You skipped the stuff that can be difficult. For example there is a trick to releasing the brake drum and removing it, and you didnt show replacing the brake pipe.

Removing the drum was easy it just came off. Not aware of a trick but please let me know for next time 😀 yeah by the time I got to the pipe I needed to get a hustle on as my wife needed the car.

How are the bottom of the door cards ? They’re prone to getting stabbed with dangling seatbelt buckles . It’s rare to see one that doesn’t have a hole in them

Your lucky this didn't cause the motor to lose oil pressure... Might as well fit some high lift, ling duration aftermarket cams if your in there replacing a cam or two anyway... Nothing better than throwing a bit of extra duration and lift at an N/A motor

In all honesty I don’t think it does much. I’ve used it on my wife’s A2 that’s used daily and it didn’t seem to loosen up the dirt.

Sorry for a silly question but you mention to look under the sill covers and take a look behind the wheel arch liners. Would you really ask a provate seller to take these off and have a look? Would they not tell you to do one?? I only ask as perhaps i wouldnt feel comfortable asking someone to take these off to look, and i wouldnt know how to either! I am after a GTV V6 ...

Yeah it’s a big ask and I would understand if the seller wouldn’t be happy doing so. However if you did see any signs of rust that’s visible without removing in those areas id strongly recommend at least suggesting it for your own piece of mind. Lots can hide behind these sections and a good looking car could quickly become a money pit. Also on my car there is a drain from the boot which exits on the drivers side sill. If the sill cover is removed and fitted incorrectly that drain pipe can sometimes be directed to fill your inner sill with water. It happened to mine when a friendly local garage decided to straighten a jacking point on my car (FOC) I only realised after a heavy downpour and a lot of sloshing about 🤣 I would quite like a V6 too and am considering selling my Twinspark at the mo.

Already have a v6 but have been tempted by a low mileage T spark with low miles which I collect shortly. Agree completely with your comments about the Fiat Coupe, which I also like and which can be cheap. The prices on the gtv seem to be climbing and only the best Fiat Coupes are getting expensive, but on looks alone it seems the Alfa is still too cheap.
