I use to think the little Jack scene was the best part of the movie but looking back it's the WORSE, Why? Because it breaks everything we know from this series How? Jack's compass, He bought the compass from Tia and its not a theory it is straight up said in the movie meaning Jack should not have had that compass as a kid and even if we remove Tia's connection the scene still doesn't work. Why? You see this movie says that giving the compass away would free Salazar and Jack has done that alot throughout the series even in the original trilogy meaning Jack would have freed him multiple times. This can't be worked around or could it have any way to be worked around it is something that makes a series not possible within itself and it makes it to where this movie CAN'T be canon to the previous films, We see that Jack has given his compass to Elizabeth and Will and it's thanks to that alone that the base mechanic that cases this film to happen just can't exist! Long story short this movie is NOT canon to the previous films so we can easily ignore this movie

Why the hell do they always have to include a cringy side love story in every Pirates of the Caribeean movie?

honestly, considering that we talk about pirates in the movie. The damned Spaniards are the ones who were right, They were the real good guys in the movie and despite everything, They didn't deserve an ending like that, It was a kind of Genocide 1000 times smaller, But it was killing them all at once, It's sad to think that After all the time they spent with the curse, they only had a few minutes to live before dying again. The Spaniards in this film and the previous one are the best characters I have ever seen, even though the films in which they appear are mediocre plot-wise.

That compass part contradicts itself tho as i thought calypso said jack bartered to get the compass from her

so this is how the whites exterminated the Indians and the Indians were people who protected nature, they did not desecrate it. even today, Americans, a fictional nation, destroys other countries because of resources that do not belong to them, Americans have this theory that big fish eat small fish, a shame for the human race. 😔😔😔

Looking back, the plot wasn’t awful. But they wrote Jack as an idiot. This and add on the actual stuff happening to Johnny at the time made it difficult to bring back the Jack we all love.

I thought that the Captain and crew of the Flying Dutchman change into sea creatures when they stopped ferrying the souls of people who died at sea? The way Tia Dalma described it was Davy Jones turned tentacles when he stopped doing his ferrymen work.
