That's one tiny advantage of having 'sticky out' cylinders, She doesn't trap my leg when we (often) crash! I tend to ride alone the majority of the time these days, Trail riding seems to be so much faster paced than it was when I first started ( Of course I could be slowing down as I get older!) 😊

Always technical and impossible to learn as the rocks move about so never the same twice. I cycled up there last week and it only stopped me twice but warmed me up so much I was glad of a rest at the end. Some call it TV set lane as there are boulders the size of old TV sets scattered about, although the 4x4 crew moved some aside recently.

This is not Haldon lane which runs from Bowdens lane to Longthorne cottage. This is known by Devon County Council as UCR 1187 and you only joined the correct route at 01.49 beyond which the way is impassable due to trees having been planted on the road, also blocked by a travellers scrapyard and their houses built across the road. See the OS map green dots for the correct line. Used mostly by dog walkers but also frequented by deer and ravens.

thanks Ken, 300crf is ride by cable, the on/off throttle has been driving me a bit crazy that's why I'm sitting down a lot to avoid being thrown back & forth which makes throttle control even worse, I have been trying to sort it out since I've had the bike, spoke to other owners & got "they're all like that mate ", fitted a throttle tamer & dropped a tooth on the front sprocket did a Throttle position sensor reset none of which seemed to cure the problem. Read on a Facebook group that you need to leave the bike off for a while after doing the TPS reset to allow it time to write to the ECU which did seem to make a difference to my last ride out with a new TRF member or rather I didn't notice it, so I either cured it or am riding a bit faster out of the on/off zone & also tend to leave one finger on the clutch lever to feather it in & out. Apparently Euro 5 ? hondas are different to Thailand & USA Bikes have a different ECU & run much leaner at tick-over, it's much like having a blocked pilot jet if it had a carb. Apart from that it is a great little bike & will chug up most stuff & I can pick it up all by myself. Did I spot you in Steve's latest video in Torrington?
@kenbrooks7794
@kenbrooks7794 3 ай бұрын
I can sympathise with you a bit, I have a similar glitch with mine. The transition from idle jet to main jet isn't completely 'clean' and it's just where you need to be sometimes. I disguise it with the clutch, it's been so long that it's automatic habit now!😁 Good spot! Yes I did go to the start of the rally to see Steve off, make sure he'd been to the toilet, got his coat done up, taken his vitamins etc.... Just doing my bit for care in the community and looking after the oldies! 🤣🤣

This is not a grid reference. To access the green road map, you will need to join the TRF. It costs about £1 a week, but in my opinion, it's well worth it if you're green laning in the UK. Find out more here: www.trf.org.uk/
