Unfortunately, there’s so many other aspects of the game that they’ve forgotten about, rather than inclusivity and appeasing the community, and I just don’t think they’re ever going to get the spark they once had back for putting effort into this game. It makes me very sad, because it’s extremely disappointing. But they just don’t care about the community anymore-they want to make as much money as they can before The Sims 5.

As much as I agree, I think there are too many packs already. Add more stuff to base game, sure, but stop making packs. I bought all the packs for The Sims 1, then The Sims 2. By The Sims 3, it was clear they were spreading out the content more thinly to make more money; this is even worse in The Sims 4. Ngl I'm very nervous for Project Rene but hopefully its base will be fuller than The Sims 4

I get what you mean. Most people are like what about (insert small very specific culture here) but it is odd that there are no African based worlds. We have some for America, Europe and Asia and even Islands. I noticed that a lot of black simmers use a lot of cc. And it’s because most of the hairs are straight/ wavey and For a long time the skins look ashy. And what people don’t realize is that black and African people aren’t all the same and it would be nice to have food, attire and build tools to represent that.

What? Ok, so where's the representation of the Sami culture? The Hungarian culture? There's definately not enough Maori in the game. And where do we have Icelandic representation? I just mean that...I think it's kept pretty good as it is, everyone can read into all things and modify it pretty good. Or we try to placate everyone specifically and end up with a 100 tb game. I don't know. My special interests and heritage are not represented in this game, but you know, I can make it work pretty well anyway, cause imagination.

I want to see someone in the Sims from the early 2000’s who represents me. A black first generation college freshman at a PWI in a historically confederate state playing Sims 1 for the first time. That’s just for starters. Nothing as simple as a hairstyle or t shirt could ever capture the depth of my humanity. So hell yeah, they slight us on everything culturally relevant, even something as basic as how I keep my hair.

Honestly theres a lot of stuff they didn't represent. They dont even have wheelchairs. They added in hearing aids and called it a day. But if we're fr, this is a game where literally having traits doesn't even affect how your sims act...

I actually feel like they have done alot recently for the black community. One of my very favorite kits was centered around clothing, the growing together had really only black hairstyles for the most part, and they have done just alot recently. I'm all here for it.

It's not inclusive but what all is expected for it to be cultural inclusive for the black community? They've been inclusive as far as cultures in general. As a community for sims players Sims 4 developers dropped the ball in general with the packs they've released. I will say it would be phenomenal if they released a more African themed world and pack.

Airbrushed shirts are definitely in the history of the black community have you watched any 2000s hip hop music videos …same with nails even though they couldve done something better in the pack …but literally hoochie mamas in the 80s/90s bejeweled and admired their nails which became a norm in the black aesthetic…plus people fail to remember this is just a kit and that the word urban does not mean black

For context, Danielle Udogaranya (also known as Ebonix or EbonixSims) collaborated with the Sims Teams to design these styles. When designing the kit, she wanted to offer a modern take on nostalgic London city-inspired 90s and Noughties (a UK expression for the years between 2000 to 2009) fashion trends that were dear to her while growing up as a Nigerian in England. This kit was never advertised to encompass the black community, nor was it centered on American trends. However, while the Sims might not currently offer the inclusion and diversity that many of us desire, I do hope that they will continue to collaborate with more black creators for future content.

The Urban Homage kit was a collaboration with a black creator named Ebonix. They worked DIRECTLY with the creator. They never said it was rooted in traditional culture, as it was just a fun kit that was an homage to urban fashion. The party esentials kit is NOT part of the same kit or pack, and was not in collaboration with the creator. the sims just releases two kits at a time, and they have never been connected or have anything to do with one-another. So judging the party kit as a "black" pack has nothing to do with anything. They are not stereotyping the black community in any way with these two kits. If anything, they're trying to be inclusive by collaborating with black creator, Ebonix, to showcase what she thinks the sims is lacking.

I think they went more towards to the 2000s instead of actually representing the black community. If they would have stuck to one thing, it would have been better. your sim's name is really cute :)
