@mchughcb I was wondering that. I hunt elk in one of the draws I logged a few years back and the shots are occasionally close to 100 yards but I usually get elk closer but people from out of state have been putting pressure on the powers that be to introduce grizzly. I saw one this last season. Not something I care to have a fight with over a dead elk. So I'm looking for ways to shave off some reload time. Thanks for responding.

@mchughcb29 күн бұрын

I am planning on getting a BD14, was wondering if there is anything that annoys you about the rifle? How accurate is it in general? Is it really possible to regulate it perfectly? Have you seen or tried the barrel tubes for other calibers in the 20gauge barrel? I live in Canada, I have an F16 and an R8 but I'm looking for a rifle for anything that pops up. Anything you can think of would be greatly appreciated, Thank you
@mchughcb2 ай бұрын
The BD14 is a fine rifle. I didn't have to regulate it because the 222 and 308 groups at 100m were close enough. I have not tried any tube barrels for the 20G and given the smaller barrel for mine is a 222 I don't really need it. I don't know what you are hunting but the Blaser BBF97 in 308/12G would also be a good choice. I have the BBF97 in 7x57R and 12G. I have used the 7mm for pigs, deer, goats, foxes and rabbits. It is also lighter and cheaper.
