Hey man, how’d you learn to slap on bass? Been trying to figure out how but haven’t had much luck :(
@tromboniusmusic5 күн бұрын
My actual knowledge about bass technique is pretty limited, I mostly just watched KZbin videos and tried to replicate what I saw. It took a lot of time and practice to figure out exactly how to create the sound I wanted from the instrument (and I’m still not there completely). All I can say is to watch what professional players do and then try it yourself to see what works for you.

Of course William is the man. But can we acknowledge how glorious this is too and how impressive it is to be that close to matching him?

Curious what software you use to make your videos like this?

Trombonius, these videos are the exact reason I subbed to you. Thank you for never disappointing. Also, what setup do you use in terms of audio and video recording and editing? I’m kinda curious to see if I could try stuff like this myself.
@tromboniusmusicАй бұрын
Thank you! If you wanted to get started making stuff like this the setup really isn’t all that difficult or expensive. All my recording equipment is listed in the description, most of it is relatively cheap or can be replaced with a cheaper alternative. The most expensive part is the audio and video editing software (Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro) which again if you’re on a budget can be replaced with cheaper stuff. The first several videos on my channel were made using completely free software, a $30 microphone, and my phone (I didn’t even have a computer back then) and while they might not hold up to my standards today, it was good enough to get me started and I just upgraded the gear as I went along. Hope this helps!
