It's not clear to me, is Stan Frederick Behind the Scenes a prequel to Stan Frederick? Or is Stan Frederick a reboot?
@VLuisaSantiago24 күн бұрын
The Record of Stan Frederick was a reboot to Stan Frederick BTS! Started four-ish years after BTS ended, and I had made BTS private right before The Record came out. Made it public again about a year(?) ago, and consider it now to be a sort of “season zero” to the main series.

Been long time viewer since I was around 16 myself. I was first introduced to the rebootseries around when NM made his video about it and i binged it all. I commented several times throughout and would probably cringe if I ever looked back at them. I remember watching through the first season of the reboot or at least what was there at the time and then going back to watch through BTS. Or at least the first season before it was taken down. After it was though it kinda framed the reboot differently in my mind as I had vague notions and memories of what happened in bts whenever a new season of the reboot came out. Which gave me a kinda “yeah I know what’s he’s talking about… kinda” I’ve been planning on doing a binge of the season 0 and redredhat whenever I’ve had the time. Always have loved your work and your writing. It’s been a huge inspiration to see you and how transparent and open you are about your projects, writing, filming wise and that’s finally helped me get to a point where it’s like “yeah. I can do this.” Thank you for that ❤

13 years...hot damn. I remember randomly finding the og series back in 2014 (I pretty much was looking for anything and everything slenderverse after discovering marble Hornets in November of 2013) and thanks to Night Mind for doing a video on The Record, I fell in love with Stan Frederick. And with redredhat, I gotta say that series is probably the best you thing you've done so far. It honestly felt like a love letter to the universe (which made it better as I watched it all on my birthday so...I guess in a way it was like a birthday present). Anyway, happy 13 years of dealing with the stick in the mud and thanks for the memories. And as they say "Memory is the key." 😉

Stumbling across marble hornets as a 12 year old opened up a rabbit hope beneath my feet and I fell into the original cinematic universe (which MH did not technically belong to funnily enough). It was such an incredible movement as much of a mess as it was. Thank you for your contributions, everyone thinks my Connor costume is the Hat Man sleep paralysis demon. I'll have to check out redredhat, it makes me happy to see the torch is still being carried by one of the GOATs

Normal. The operator is something that, the more you see it, the more you see things wrong... the broken joins, no facial fetures, the abnormal slenderness, even the long proportions... The other ones are just a tall guy in a suit

[watching Tulpa Effect, ICANSEETHEGIANT, Dark Harvest, OneHundredYardStare, Osiris Chronicles, and CaughtNotSleeping, among dozens more that weren’t competing here-all of which have Slender Men with wildly skewed and fluid proportions] ah, yes-just guys in suits 🤭
@alang.bandala88633 күн бұрын
ok. I have a lot to say about this so let's talk XD Icanseethegiant have some GREAT slender moments, but in more instances than I remember, Slender is, well, a guy in a suit XD (even with that, the moments he is tall, scary as hell) DarkHarvest have a Slender that, on my opinion, looks better on photos, cause the moment I see him walking, I see a giant (hehe, get it?) Something like a tall friend in very large shoes that I have. OHYS was great, I didn't saw the series until recently and I loved how the white head contrast with the dark and how they use an actual statue for the other apperiances. CNS was good, it wasn't bad, but there is something in the way it looks that reminds me to the guy in the Natural video by Imagine Dragons. More fake than anything but hey, I think is fair. Besides that, my brother in christ, Slender dwarfed in most of them XD I think is mostly because the tallness makes him unreal. A creature that slim and tall shouldn't exist in the natural world. Even sometimes when you can't hide the joints in the arms, some add the excuse of "broken joints" that, for me, is actually very clever. Is that or literally given him small arms and look goofy XD Oh! And also, Keratin Garden, I liked the first slenderman sights until he appeared in the backseat of the car, I was like... "Wait, that motherfucker just... sit? XD is he tired of stainding menacenly or what?" And nothing related, but I remember telling my mom about MH, TT and EMH and she REALLY hated EMH and TT, I remember her words and it's an opinion that I also share besides me liking EMH, and I quote: "Time travels, re incarnations, he can give superpowers to The Colective, killed god, can create minions with cameras as heads, work during World war 2 germany and can posses people... that moderfucker is God with Twitter or what?!" I know that technically isn't the same slender for every series, but fuck, she have a point XD even in the OG mythos the goverment tried to capture him AND FAILED.

I like how you were able to extract wine out of a rock. By showing how the Slender Man (2018) movie is important because it's so bad, it reminds me to put time and effort into my craft and to stop rushing what I want to be remembered for. My art. Cool video!
@VLuisaSantiago26 күн бұрын
I think in particular it’s important because it’s so bad **for a studio work**! If it inspires people to be more switched on with their art, then that’s a net positive; if anything, it at the very least reminds me to care about what I do-not for the sake of quality, necessarily, but because I personally would never want to make something that undersells my passion for a thing. It’s good wine!!! Art is often like that and it rules.
@AterNyctos6 күн бұрын
@VLuisaSantiago2 Hm I see, that makes sense. Nice! I think I missed the "studio work" part because I subconsciously assumed the people who worked at the studio (or at least the ones with decision power) didn't put much thought into it. Maybe they assumed it was "too big to fail" in a way, as in "I have no idea what these internet folk like about a creepy guy with long arms, but they will sure like our scares!" Although I don't mean the guy who worked on the original but also helped in the movie, of course. Maybe his opinions were overshadowed by Sony movie makers trying to squeeze money out of it at the expense of putting in effort? Anyway, maybe I'm wrong. Sorry for my broken English, I hope you can kind of see what I mean? Best regards!

After Season 10, with the focus on RWBY and the growth of RT Animation all around. I felt disconnected with Chorus. Maybe I was just prejudice because Monty was focusing on his project, the handing over to Miles and Gray or just how S10 felt final. Yet here I am years later, and the music hits me the hardest. Contact, and all the versions of it that was made by Trocadero is my favorite piece of music in RvB. And Chorus sticks as my second favorite arc of Red vs Blue. 2nd to Recollections. Thank you for this video, it... it was helpful to remember. To maintain the Memory that made Roosterteeth and Red vs Blue so vital to me and my life. RT will always be a valuable memory to me, and you know what Delta always said

I feel like this is also a referendum on just American comics. But I'll be frank, I really had a good time with Deadpool. Fun action figure bullshit. Establishes that this version of Deadpool is just a bit of a better person than the other versions of him. Stops Huge Jackedman from playing Badgerman. Das it.
@VLuisaSantiago220 күн бұрын
Genuinely interested to hear more on that “better person” take!! Only since Deadpool 3 saw Wade going from actively attempting to protect an at-risk kid with the full intent of killing his abusers in opposition to the X-Men (“f*** your rules; I fight for what’s right, and sometimes you need to fight dirty”)-to Wade deciding he wants to be an Avenger (arguably even more rigid than the X-Men… historically speaking) because Vanessa uncharacteristically starts making value judgments on him? I had a fine time with D&W, I think it does what Marvel looks to do and walks away; doesn’t necessarily make the wider implications of each release by this studio less telling about the trajectory of cinema and art at large. That’s all I’m really trying to shine a light on here!

I know the conversation is absolutely different but I can't hear this essay and not think of ATSV. "...unless you bake two cakes." "I can do both!" I swear they better not mess up the landing for ATSV but I'm not holding my breath on it. Wouldn't be the first trilogy to walk back such a strong statement.
@VLuisaSantiago23 ай бұрын
I remember hearing that line in ACROSS and thinking of it as a lot more responsible for superhero fiction than what the MCU does simply by virtue of that acknowledgment actually being in earnest; a character wants so badly to have both, to Do without consequence, and the answer that BEYOND gives for that will be fascinating whether it’s a good answer or not. It’s cool!!

Lately disney really wants to tackle "nuanced" topics while also being too afraid to really commit, tending to water things down instead of truly making a stand in one direction or another. I get that theyre afraid of losing money, or their audience, or whatever but yeah, the stagnancy and lack of commitment is already killing the quality. It doesnt really feel like they're telling stories anymore, just following a formula. Great video!! <3

I like this! Infinity War and Endgame were the ones that really hit me over the head in terms of having it both ways. Failing to stop Thanos from snapping half the universe, failing to find him again before he could destroy the Infinity Stones AND THEN literal time travel to get out of the problem.
