ngl the reverse gear kills the panther stuff for me more than anything. Its just too damn slow, and you cant deal with it like the russians can cause lack of hp/ton to whip around

The reverse gear on panthers is awful, but if you find yourself in a good position you can be a pretty big threat

Another lineup is 4.7 Great Britain, 3 17 pounders with not terrible chassis and one of the funnist light tanks ive ever played(concept 3) i'd say its the best not just for downtiers but uptiers as well becuase of that monster round on the 17 pounder just EATS KV, tiger and IS tanks

It's what I used for a long time, to grind up later vehicles. It can be fun, but, in my case, I would only do really good if I was on 100% performance all the time, unlike when I play germany and can be half brain dead and still do well. Recently, I've moved to 5.3 in Great Britian, because these two tanks, especially Challenger, are absolute units. Powerful cannon, amazing turret traverse, very nice mobility. Sadly, bad reverse speed, but oh well well.

rank 2 japan used to feel a lot better with the chi-ha kai at 2.0 and chi-he at 2.3.. also more fair br's i'd say (mainly because they are not very fast or manouverable, especially the chi-ha kai, and there guns really can't work in 3.3-3.7)

It’s based on spawn point cost (SP). When your tank is 100sp it’s a full upteir and 150sp is a full downtier.
