Can you talk about corking and how to correct it?
@SanPedroSourceАй бұрын
Corking is a totally normal process which protects the cactus from water and excess moisture below the soil! It's not something that we would necessarily say needs correcting.

@SanPedroSource2 ай бұрын
Fair question! Our goal is education on plant care for all san pedro types. Since it's the most common type, and often the first san pedro people start with, we think it's a fine choice to learn the basics with! :)

I'm in California and I actually know of 7 or 8 giant San Pedros , big stands of many collums at least 12 feet tall , it's likely predominant cultivar but it's a great place to collect cuttings for rootstock

I wonder why mine never blooms how old is yours?
@SanPedroSource2 ай бұрын
The one in this video is about 4-5 years old! San Pedro blooms depends on a few things like maturity, enough light, enough stress. Then some only flower every few years since it's pretty energy intensive.
@drakeweddner2 ай бұрын
I've had mine for at least 4 years I think probably 5 or 6 i got it as a 1 foot tall plant so it was probably a year old at that point , the only stress it ever has is when i take cuttings sometimes is there a specific type of stress you like to use for getting them to flower , my lophophora, aloe and other cacti all flower in my green house.
