9:54 Okay, in Navi's defense, she was Link's only other childhood friend aside from Saria and (SPOILER) Saria had to stay in the Sacred Realm in the Adult Timeline since she was the Forest Sage. She also helps Link target enemies by highlighting them (imagine trying to fire an arrow at a Stalchild in the dead of night without a light source above them and yes I know the dark areas in the game were perfectly visible but I'm just using a bit of imagination of how dark it really would've been). I mean the whole reason Link winds up in Termina in the Child Timeline is because he went searching for Navi when she left at the end of OoT (as well as leave Hyrule before everything hit the fan because they warned the King about Ganondorf's plot, leading into his botched execution and banishment to the Twilight Realm). 13:27 Gary Owens even parodied him in Space Quest VI: The Spinal Frontier in the Ascend-O-Pad (AKA the best room in the game) if Roger bids thy elevator doors open or close. 28:47 I would've been cheeky and photoshopped in the Aluminum Mallard in that picture.

I actually recently watched an old video on Space Quest Historian's channel about three games he helped make, and that included this one! So when I saw that and then this, I was like, "Is that what he was talking about?" Sure enough! Amazing that it's so well known by this point. =D

that accesibility thing mentiomed near the beginning of the video had me tearing up a little bit. Its just so beautiful and truly futuristic, its something i have appreciated in recent games like Spiderman2018 where i was good at some parts of the game but otger parts were total gamestopping blocks for me. The accessibility options are how i got through it. We include people in this industry, i love it so much.

I don't speedrun but I watch videos about the strategy, accolades and drama because the community is just that good at taking something relatively mundane and making it interesting to be involved in.

The time travel and general wackiness meant that when i took an earbud out while listening to this and accidentally skipped to the KQ3 video, I initially didn't realize I was on a different video.

I swear that i thought in this owl when i saw the owl origami model in the book "Multi-Color Origami" by Mi Wu, idk if he knows this owl.

I mean that's super cool but you guys are evil and I'm never playing that game.

If it isn't already, the reward for getting back down should be an escalator that can take you up and down every staircase in the game automatically

Typing in a new save game name everytime was supposed to be annoying? I do that all the time when playing free roam stalker mods or doom 3. Sure both those games have quick saving but every time I want to save before I exit I have to come up with a name. The trick is to have something easily type-able but also easily repeatable. Something like kden1 or hmm2.

Looks cool! Wonder how hard it is to code a game like that. Maybe i should give it a try sometime.
