Is there anyway you can provide insight into how you did this? I’m not talking about the beach, but more so the arch climb. Seen videos, read stories about it, I know you need to climb up from the ocean, etc, but is there a guide service or person who can assist? Im obsessed with this valley need to attempt this climb. I was there in 2020 and will be back. Let me know if we can private message, I can share contact details.

In short. Don't do it. It's a sacred valley and Kapu, or off limits. It's a Hawaiian burial ground and highly disrespectful to go up in there without permission. Hawaiians have had enough of Haole people trampling all over the island doing as they please.

@@bubbabigmin who exactly do I need permission from? I’d apply or ask if I can, but i know ropes have been installed there. I’m a very careful and leave no trace explorer. I’d like to do this in the safest and most legal way possible so Hawaii doesn’t need to pay for my stupidity, I’ve heard of the many dumb tourists who have tried to swim. At the end of day the day I want to appreciate and see what the Hawaiians have deemed sacred, I don’t see staying out as the only way to be respectful, as long as you are mindful. It seems many Hawaiians are those assisting those who want to get out there. Hawaiian bloodline shouldnt be the only thing that allows someone to go, that’s grandly entitled, especially when my family lineage has never impacted how the Hawaiian monarchy was destroyed. I’m not telling Hawaiians to stay off the burial land of my ancestors, in fact I encourage you to learn and explore it respectfully.

After living on the Big Island for 40 years and having climbed Mauna Loa twice from volcano and once from the saddle, watching this it makes me want to come home and do it again 🤙 I miss my home on hawaii😢

At the age of 55 Arnel still has it. On the other hand Steve Perry did not maintain his voice during his 50s. But respect for him because he is the original. Arnel is amazing. He did not ask to be in this band, Neil Schon found him in the youtube and the rest is history for AP
