Yeah and I just got on discogs and there’s a big learning curve and coming from eBay, I felt you are on your own. I’m not using PayPal and using credit cards and feel it’s like Craigslist and lots of room for scamming bc eBay will back up your purchases. I have a great collection I was thinking about selling some and in NM condition, but that sound hard and just doing it legit,

From a buyer side, bought an lp that was graded as near mint both the record and the album cover. When it arrived, the vinyl had huge visible scratch marks and the album had so many creases and dents I couldn't believe it. The seller insisted he packed the album himself and it was near mint and treated me like a scammer. It was so disappointing that I stopped buying from Discogs for a very long time.

Heads up if something rattles inside a sealed box it needs to be opened and secured. Then ship. The item is now MINT product and cover NM - cos it's opened. Worth the same amount of money with an explanation of why you did it. As in "Singing dude put like a chess set in a box with a vinyl. Dude---.actually did, yes"

As a seller you can save yourself a lot of stress by just grading things properly, even conservatively. Otherwise you better get used to unhappy buyers and endless grief.

Nice video. That’s fine for brand new LPs still in shrink wrap. But for used records it’s best to put the disc in a poly bag outside the LP cover itself to make sure it doesn’t slide around inside the printed inner sleeve and risk damaging it.

I think I'm being scammed as a buyer right now. I could just be jumping the gun but the way it's looking is just shady. I stupidly paid for an item through the Discogs "Pay Now" option. The seller has left the order dormant for a week +. I went ahead and sent a couple messages and then hit the "Seller Is Not Responding" option. It's day 3 of 4 for the suspension rule. Basically I'm just curious as to what's gonna happen after that? Does the seller just get suspended? What about my refund? Do I contact PayPal at this point? Any pointers would be great!

That first mail the buyer sent was not too bad especially that vinyls can be delicate as not all vinyls are thick especially the expensive rare one's that aren't on coloured vinyl but still rare likewise. .

I find by not dealing with Discogs dealers I have less stressful days. It seems that they don’t seem to think shipping within a reasonable amount of time isn’t necessary!

I oredered 5 records from a guy on discogs who had more that 100 good reviews , a month had passed no records , I asked for a tracking number he gave me a wrong one and then he told me he would resend the records and then he blocked me . I just made a new account and I told him that if he didn't give me my money back I would have to get legal . and then he magically unblocked me and he gave me my money back

I don't have a lot of bad Discogs stories but what happens to me a lot is that I'll see something listed as Mint/Mint and when I get it bought and home, it's clearly something like VG/NM, which just ticks me off. If you're going to list something as M/M and charge for it, it better damn well be M/M. Drives me nuts.

Good video but I disagree on the point of you (the seller) not being responsible for items arriving damaged. Ultimately you are responsible. I sell on Discogs myself and if any buyer experiences damage which never happens due to me packaging items really securely then I as the seller are their first point of reference.

Hello, I have a sealed copy of this vinyl. I don´t know if my copy is blue edition. My copy is the shame that you show on the video, 2001 US. Shame sticker. I visited discogs, the blue edition and normal edition have the shame ean code, so i don´t know what copy is the copy that I have. Can you help me??? Any words that says limited or blue edition. Thanks.

I Tried to buy an item on Discogs a 7" single for around $7 that after I agreed to buy said the Postage Was $124 - Which is stupid - they reported me to Discogs and i got told off - No where did it say the postage would be that much - The Only details was $7 Plus Postage - Scammer

Pass the bone! Your sets look amazing. I would deal with you. There's challenges all around, but there are some good people out there. I've had a seller stating NM with writing and stickers all over the record and sleeve...even some without a jacket. It happens.

Mint is there for a reason. If an item is in the original sealed wrap and that wrap is in perfect condition, that item is mint. Manufacturers defects, unless obvious, should not be a consideration.

Do you even know what SCAM means? That first story is NOT a scam. Its simply a disppute between buyer and seller

doesnt surprise me..Have had issues as buyer and seller on ebay. Claims of broken items i sold but they threw out the item. Claim that my items was not as listed and they want a discount. I only buy and sell from people with great feedback. Also, if someone asks lots and lots of questions, thats a red flag to avoid them at all costs..
