I just bought one of these and needed this video because omg I thought it was impossible to put on the dress 🤣 I got the exact same one too how lucky!! Mines head fits well so maybe you just need to push it a little more or align it?

I have the fullset they were very much worth the price I paid $300+ for the fullset with the hidden included with the star girl doll too they gave me extra parts a extra doll body and extra clothes with shoes for the dolls so they're very much worth the price tag

@@Nikencycollects there’s another doll line from the same company called ‘mini tea series’! These TV head dolls actually have a gimmick where you can put the mini tea dolls heads in the TV, so I’m sure if you remove the head completely and replace it with one of theirs it should still work. I’m not sure how it’d look proportion wise, but it’s definitely an option! On Kika goods, on the TV head doll listing you can see photos of how the mini tea series doll head looks in the TV, so you can get a bit of an idea of proportions!

Her choker is placed wrong xp...mine have a gem in the front..also her red wig can stain her head scause of the hair inside..put on a cap or wrap it so it doesn't stain like mine

@@KeratyOne it does flop back if you move her, but if she is stable, her head can still support itself! So for photos and things it should be fine, but if you move her around it flops around a bit , it all depends on the weight of the hair of the doll you chose to remove the wire from

Thank you for the video ❤ That's exactly what happened to my limited color Minty cat doll - I posed her and the wire just broke inside of her joints reaaaaally quickly and fell off 😅 I've heard that wired bjd doll body can be not that bad if the wire is high-quality. There is an aluminium wire inside of Minty dolls, which is like a really cheap and fragile option, that also leaves marks on joints 😓 Well, at least they're stringed tight enough to hold poses without a wire!

She is so cute! I ordered her too along with the extra set of white hair from the other dolls in the series. Something I was wondering though, what is the pink thing on her cheek? Is it a little flamingo or something? Its always covered by her hair.

I got the fox one. She's amazing but the metal wire in her legs snapped so I decided to completely take the metal wire out because I was scared the sharp edges of the wire would damage the inside, but without the metal wire her head is pretty floppy because it's so heavy, so I put a metal wire inside the neck as a quick solution so her head is a bit less wobbly but I'm planning to give her a "spine" of aluminum/metal wire to give her more stability but to leave the arms and legs out because they don't need the metal wire. It means I will have to restring her to put the "spine" in so I will need to find the time and energy for that 😅

I did feel that the elastic on the inside didn’t feel tight enough when changing the hands, from what you’re saying, it seems the legs are the same, it’s unfortunate. If I remove the wire from mine, it seems like it’s pretty much required to tighten the strings. Thank you so much for sharing, and good luck with your doll!

I'm new to bjds and I just got the cat girl, and she's so cute! But I was wondering about the joints too. The hands are pretty loose and one leg is way tighter than the other. I'm wondering if I got a messed up one or if that is normal, and if I need to find a replacment body or just need to watch a tutorial on how to restring her. The only other bjd I have for reference is the UF doll mini tea 1/12 milk, and his joints seem a lot tighter.

So unfortunately with these dolls it appears to be normal, it’s mostly the wire, as you probably noticed with milk, having wire in them isn’t a common thing, I really don’t know why they did that lol. Sometimes with tighter legs, you can pull the tighter side out and stretch it a bit to try make the string inside more even since both legs are connected! Though I have yet to try restring these girls myself to remove the wire, you can take them apart and restring them like a normal BJD, in the process, removing the wire if it still bothers you. I think Kika goods have a restringing video on the ‘ten thousand escape plans’ series, which similarly have a wire! Hope this helps and welcome to the addictive world of BJDs! Lol🫶

I got an extra plastic wig/hair piece that fits milk but doesn't fit the cat girl, and I bought it originally hoping it would fit her. Do you happen to know of any tutorials on how to alter hair pieces to fit different face sculpts? Thanks again for all your help. <3

@@v0id_b0i_89I have had a custom doll with a similar issue and what I did was slightly heat up the face and hair with a hairdryer and just sorta force them together, you’d wanna be careful not to heat it up too much though! If it an issue where the pieces are just constructed completely different, you might have to do some bigger alterations to the hair piece to make it fit, since you probably don’t want to damage the face plate so the original hair won’t fit anymore. However, since I’m quite inexperienced with customs, I’d suggest maybe having a look at the BJD reddit! There are many customisers over there that have way more experience with that type of thing than I do, they’re super friendly!
