Hi, thank you for the question I guess now it would be a matter of keeping to the norm of the channel, I do however use IntelliJ on a daily basis I use it even more than SpringToolSuite. Both IDEs are powerful and I find their capabilities quite close to each other because I haven’t experienced an issue where I’m forced to change IDE when working from either IntelliJ or SpringToolSuite

Hi, thank you for the tutorial! WHen i try out the login, I receive a html as a response. For some reason i also keep sseeing "bad credentials" in the default spring security login page. How do I succesffully retrieve my token?

I liked this video for the class design. However, my greatest criticism is that Cypcode used Secrets coded into the application.properties. It would have been better to demonstrate the use of AWS credentials via .aws/credentials and the AwsDefaultClientBuilder's credential search that includes an instance profile option.

Thank you for the video! In the case of secret properties that you don't want to put in these properties files (eg passwords for the database, jwt signing keys, etc.) what's your favourite way to pass them down to the different environments?

Hi Carlos, thank you for watching the video I hope it was helpful. To answer your question, You would need a central Secrets Vault or Secrets Manager, AWS offers a Secret Management and I will be adding this tutorial in a few days, please stay tuned as I will run you through how to protect your DB Connection details as well keys that should not be exposed

Hey I am new in Spring. Can you tell me why the jwt.secret stored in application.properties file?? Is it safe to store the secret in properties file. Thankyou!!

As it was for a tutorial it is okay, but for real world applications do not store secret key in application.properties, it is not secure

But I am talking from a enterprise project or a companies pov For your own projects you can store it anywhere you want

QQ: Instead of storing video locally we stored it in cloud storage aws s3 but while i try to do that it first retrieve file from s3 save it locally then start streaming it

@cypcode
@cypcode 5 ай бұрын
Hi @ridhamsood1784, thank you very much for checking out the video. What you're looking for is streaming the file bytes as you receive the file from S3. So instead of just taking the .mp4 verbatim, you want to be passing it as bytes and handle it internally than streaming the files verbatim
@ridhamsood1784
@ridhamsood1784 5 ай бұрын
can you try it and make a video on it its seem to be challenging - if i covert it into byte it stops seeking features

Hi @user-er9pc2or6b thatnk you very much for watching the video and for your question. That tells me that spring knows that you are a valid user but on your JWT creation you’re not adding the GrantedAuthorities please confirm where you’re adding that and we can address your issue

I was also getting the same issue but after debugging further, i found while creating user or registering user that time it's trying to fetch roles from ROLE table but ROLE table is empty. So 1st we have to add Roles in ROLE table then we are good to go. I think think concept missed by @cypcode.
