I work with resin and I covered a large wood board that had been glued together. When I pour the resin, there was some reaction around the glued areas and I got bubbles in the resin. I torched and torched and torched it but they just kept appearing. Then weeks later I sanded the bubble area ( looked like acne) and repoured the resin but still got bubbles in this one spot. So I figured it was chemicals in the glue reacting with the resin. I think it might be the same thing??? We need a chemical engineer on this chat!

Hi, i need your help please, did you press it before putting in washer machine? And how long did you wait until washing it? Looks great!
@DebyatMixedMediaArts27 күн бұрын
Hi. There is no need to iron these paints to 'set' them. I don't remember about drying time, it was a while ago since I did this, but once the paint is fully dry, it can safely be washed.

Do you still do these "skin" videos? I really enjoyed this video. Thank you ❤😊

Sadly not. I have moved overseas and don't have the space or access to materials that I once had, so I am no longer painting.

This is idiotism, it’s waisting of resources. Isn’t easy to use some broken glass? It’s not clever to recycle ♻️ this water drops because they are new and perfect. It’s more wise to take a broken glass and recycle it to new decor. In your case I have to buy something to recycle it. Isn’t silly????? Dislike 👎

I've found that if i fill the coaster mouldright to the very top, i then get a very slight concave (dome) on the back side, so slight that when i put 3 little adhesive cork feet on it the problem is solved.

You didn’t mention that horrible silvering that appears under the glass sometimes. I have tried all different ways of placing my glass….. on the skin or on the cut out, with a small amount of glue or a large amount. I sometimes get lucky but it is very discouraging. Ant advice. I enjoyed your video and your upbeat demeanor.

Great video! You explain things and illustrate everything so well.👍 You mention Yupo paper, that you used for one of the pendants in the video. What was the technique used on that paper and why that paper compared to paint skins? Thanks so much.😊

Hi Deby. I can't help but wonder how a new top coat "fixes" the scratches underneath it? Is it something to do with the heat it gives off, or what? Do you know perhaps?

Hi there, this looks great! Does the paint come off in the wash? I’ve heard that you have to set it with an iron afterwards to avoid the paint from being washed off?
@DebyatMixedMediaArts Жыл бұрын
This one doesn't need setting with an iron, and no the paint doesn't wash off. The black one I didn't wear as much but the white one I wore all the time, and washed it a lot. Still perfect, no paint came off. The top wore out long before the paint did. The white one is here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3eokIqLgKhkb9U and the washing video is here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHzWhJWmpJ1gndk

How do you fix if some drips down the sides?
@MommaBearsCorner Жыл бұрын
can put cloth other it to crack and USE simple tweezers to pick up and then toss out the tiny pieces that are too small and sharp. That would solve it all. If one wants smaller pieces, I would if one could reheat and then crack them loose or will that break it up way too much too fast and too small..... Guess have to try both ways. Thanks for sharing because yes, they want way too much for this in the craft stores. Even temu has some but 10 grams not enough to do hardly anything on canvas, so greatly appreciated. I thought of doing this, but good to know about the heat and cold method first. makes more sense. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, ths ks for the video tutorial. I am fairly new to this and i tried adding resin to get the dome and after 3 days it is still sticky on top. What ratio did you use for your resin? I thought i did half and half of A and B fro. This casting set i got from hobby lobby
@DebyatMixedMediaArts Жыл бұрын
It sounds like the resin wasn't mixed properly. Either the 50/50 ratio isn't right for your resin (check the bottle) or it wasn't all mixed together well. Try scraping or sanding it off and doing another coat. That might save it.

can i get some advice. i recoated my pyramids, but they dried all botched up, all bumpy and not smooth, any tips?
@DebyatMixedMediaArts Жыл бұрын
I wonder if the coat was too thick? And then it ran a little while setting up? You may need to sand it smooth again and try with a very thin coat. I'm painting it on a bit like nail varnish. Perhaps even setting the pyramid level and doing one side at a time so it can't run.
