I never saw anyone ‘wrestling’ an alligator. We did go through Rapid City and stopped at the Reptile Gardens. Now it’s a huge deal, but this was in 1984. I think they had a T-Rex. It was really casual with buildings that were typical for most snake exhibits. There was one covered area with bleacher seating. You could look around and see other arenas. This big guy was tossing bales of hay at another pen. I mention all of this because it was so casual. Just a guy with a mic saying, ‘ now we’ll see some alligator wrestling’. The guy tossing hay walked over to our area, which had a VERY LARGE angry alligator hissing away. The show was like 3 minutes. He had to work at it, but just flipped it over on its back. I guess it’s kind of like a shark and sort of passed out. Zach holding its mouth OPEN is kind of a big deal. All of the musculature is designed to snap closed. It has hardly any strength to open its jaws, so if they can get a band around that position things are going to go much better
