I can’t be as high on AD Mitchell. Run heavy team with both Taylor and AR15 plus at least Pittman ahead of him on targets and maybe Downs out of the slot out targets him. I see some nice deep shots but the level of production maybe TD dependent. JMO

I do agree that AD could struggle for targets and who knows how accurate those throws will be when they do come, but in the end I expect his talent to shine through. It's true that his true potential won't be fully realized in Indy, but I think what is realized will still be better than some of the less talented guys that will eventually have to deal with more competition or poor QB play eventually in their careers. I think he definitely has the talent to be as good at Pittman and if he shows it who knows if they'll make a tough decision later.

His injury risk is a real thing, but I try not to draft based on injury risk or you'd never take an RB. Lamar and Kyler have been pretty good so far based on contact injuries so it's possible even if you're not built like Allen or Richardson and I do believe he is a far better passer than he's given credit for and has decent weapons in Washington. I think Ekeler will help him get a lot of easy yards and TDs as well.

Corum is interesting because of history with McVay. Dude seems to have a new RB every year that works into major touches. Kyren wasn’t a high value draft pick so no reason to believe they are willing to just keep him as a bell cow. I think Corum will get a shot to shine. We will see what he does with it.
@FFFreaks
@FFFreaks 6 сағат бұрын
Very true about McVay. Kyren was quite successful in the role though. I'm honestly not the biggest Kyren supporter in the big picture, but one of those reasons is because we have to ask at the end of each year if McVay is going to semi retire and join the broadcast booth which seems to be speculated every winter. If he were to say for once, "I'm committed to this team for as long as they'll have me" and sign like a 6 year extension or something I'd have more confidence in each Rams player.

@FFFreaks
@FFFreaks 19 сағат бұрын
I personally have Penix at 18 overall. I know it's lower than others, but I just don't like the idea of an asset rotting on my bench. I don't mind taking him as high as maybe 14 or 15 if your league allows for a taxi squad that he can occupy or I would be even more aggressive on him if you have Cousins on your roster. If you own Cousins I'm ok with taking him as high as 12 or 13 since that could become a succession with Cousins likely getting another job as well so eventually ending up with 2 starting QBs through the process. I like Nix better for the present but not as much long term but I do have him ranked higher for now at 13. I like the fact Payton wanted him, but they'll need to get him more weapons eventually.

I think that is Outstanding! The only question I would wonder is was Bowers available at 1.06 since there is a TE Premium? If he wasn't every pick was a slam dunk IMO including the trade! I have Brooks as my 1.10 so taking him there would've been great too, but if that pick becomes anything above a 1.10 next year and you got a 3rd out of it too I think that's fine and if that becomes a lottery pick you're golden and that's worth the risk for unless that team is like some of Vaz's dynasty teams haha

Besides the 1.01 and 1.02 I’m really loving the 1.07-2.01 range. At the top you’re getting you’re getting Maye/JJ/Bowers who we all know about. After that you’re getting 3 very talented receivers with amazing landing spots in Ladd, Worthy, and BTJ. All 3 of those WRs I would argue have elite upsides and have the archetypes that fit their teams needs / what they’re comfortable with. At the end you’re getting Nix a 1st round QB and Brooks the RB1 with a landing spot where he helps improve the entire offense. What do you guys think? For me I’m definitely calling the 1.07-2.01 the “sweet spot” of the 2024 draft for SF leagues where you’re getting the most value out of what it will cost you to get those picks.
@FFFreaks
@FFFreaks 4 күн бұрын
Yeah it's a very deep draft year compared to recent years IMO. Arguably the greatest WR draft of all time and you could argue something similar for QBs as well and probably a top 5 TE of all time in terms of career expectations. So yeah certainly tonnes of value in that range you're talking about. If I'm a competetive team I'd definitely give up my '25 1st for the 1.10-1.12 and maybe even like a 2.01 or 2.02 depending on who is available there. The hype looking ahead to next year's draft class isn't the same as the hype that was already promoting Williams, Maye and Harrison a year ago. Obviously there will be your Daniels and Burrows types that come out of nowhere but it's nice when the draft class has a few top top guys to target a year earlier. If you're started a rebuild and stocked up on 24 picks, you did well!
@mistamagic8

@@FFFreaks 100%, I’m definitely trying to move my 25 first for another late 24 first. In 22 I first started hearing chirps about the 24 class so I dedicated 23 to rebuilding. @FFFreaks
@FFFreaks 8 күн бұрын
The 2.08 for the 2.06 becomes irrelevant and the 4.02 pretty much is, so the question becomes 1.05 and 1.07 for 1.02. That should be Caleb or MHJ for 2 of Bowers, Maye, Odunze, Nabers, Daniels. Do you have an idea of how picks 3, 4 and 6 will go? If you would end up with 2 of Bowers, Maye and Odunze sure, but if you were to end up with either Nabers or Daniels at 1.05 I'd hold. I think this lowered Penix. It was much believed that he was going 13 to the Raiders, where he would have had weapons, and a path to starting this year. With ATL, he is going to be sitting for 2 years at least, and he is already 25, old enough that he should be able to produce right away, and his ceiling is probably already capped. He is my new Hendon Hooker.
@FFFreaks
@FFFreaks 11 күн бұрын
It is a downer that he'll be sitting for the immediate future, but when he's expected to start he'll have talented receivers that'll all be in their prime. Also because Cousins is aging and coming off an injury he definitely could start sooner than expected as well. I'm honestly not sure that LV is a BETTER landing spot. He does have a better chance at starting this year, but it could also be better for him long term sitting for a year or 2 ala Love. I see what you're saying with Hooker, but Hooker was coming off a serious injury and was always seen as a guy who would sit a year because of his own health. I totally don't get the pick from Atlanta's standpoint though since as stated Penix is NOT Young.

yeah not to ruin any parades but i think swift is like a high RB2 at best next season. i just think that him and herbert play so similarly and johnson is the better pass catcher out of the 3 imo. he wasn’t really GREAT in Detroit either. they never really trusted him to be the guy and to be honest i can see why they didn’t in philly. he’s good, but he only really takes what the Olinr gives him. if he’s not getting to the 2nd level on his runs he’s not really doing a ton and once again i think johnson is the better pass catcher which could take more snaps from him. with that being said i think the bears are trying to get one good year out of him and trad him or just have a successful season or two. herbert and johnson are both on rookie contracts i think

I can see the last trade being okay for the non-Diggs team. Always good to get out of old receivers a year early. Diggs was a malcontent in Buffalo. He was terrible at the end of last year. Now that he is is Houston, how long is it before he's whining that Collins and Dell are getting the ball too much - especially now that he's playing for a new contract. The man has proven to be a me-first guy. Could get ugly. The fact that they reworked his contract to help motivate it says more about him than anything. Did I mention he's old and quickly fading? As for Burrow, how he responds from the very serious surgery and who he will throw to other than Chase is a legitimate question. Higgins wants out, Boyd is gone..Iosivas? Jones? Could be a huge problem..Moss is there to play out of the shotgun too at times. Burrow will be protected (bubble-wrapped) at all costs. Bengals are cheap. Could be a solid sell-high on Joe. If it's one QB, Baker wasn't terrible last year and he's locked in there now. Of course Burrow is the better talent, but what is the difference in weekly points really going to be? Samuel is a proven will be used everywhere, Moss is RB1 for bubble-wrapped Joe. The 1st was a must, 3rd a dart throw, and if the new guy can get anything out of a Sanders-Bryce Young combo after a terrible year, could be a quality value-raising asset. That signing was actually viewed as a positive last year - and Bryce can only improve. The team on the right has the better name players now for sure, but going forward, people may be look back on this one as soon as this season as a win for the left side.

I do get what you're saying but for me 1 QB leagues are all about getting the stars and big production guys rather than the dink and dunks and I think Diggs and Burrow are more likely to provide that, but yeah who knows when Diggs falls off the cliff. Might be as soon as his signs his contract for his new '25 team. I never like giving up a first but I also feel like at first glance the '25 class isn't as strong as this past class, but again for 1QB drafts who knows who busts out as skill guys this fall. I don't hate the deal, but I'd hope I'm the team acquiring Burrow and Diggs over the rebuilding one.

I think a lot of that is to do with the QB uncertainty. They're really in no situation to acquire a decent quarterback until at least next year. Their cap situation is horrible and the best QB they'll end up with in the draft is probably Nix or Penix. Payton might be able to coach them up but it's still a crap shoot. Payton did have success with Jimmy Graham though so who knows if he gets the right guy. I guess the end question though is how often do you see a bottom 5 quarterback produce a top 5 tight end?

If you acquired him in 2020 after he finished as a top 5 QB 3 years in a row (4 if you consider he was QB1 when he got injured as a rookie) then clearly he's a bust as you would have paid full price for the crap that insued. Since then he sat out all of 2021 as well as part of 2022 and then was injured for 2/3rds of 2023. He's basically had the tale of 2 careers. The question is can he ever become what he was in his first 4 seasons again? While there is certainly no guarantee of that there are reasons why a gamble would be worth it. He's done it before. The reasons he hasn't played well have been due to injury and probably rust after a long hiatus, that's been exacerbated by him knowing how the world now views him. One thing I've learned as a sports reporter is when an athlete has a distinctive off year it's usually because of something negative in his personal life like a death in the family or a divorce etc. I'm sure what he went through with the massage stuff has affected his play along with the rust and then when that gets into his head it snowballs and then he got injured. Again there's no guarantee he ever gets his mojo back, just like Russell Wilson but the one advantage Watson does have is he's still just 28. His injury isn't expected to overly hamper his game, so the only questions become: situation, time and ability to overcome. His situation in Cleveland has only improved with the addition of Jeudy and he's going to have AT LEAST this year and possibly another to figure things out. No guarantee he does, but I'd rather gamble on him figuring it out than to bet on say Penix or Nix and possibly even McCarthy and Maye if thet don't find favourable landing spots. I can't say I would sell him for anything less than a late first and if I could get him for a mid second I would jump at that (SF minimum 12 teams). Thanks for your thoughts. We always enjoy other opinions

Man if McCarthy goes to the Vikings, I wonder if people would take over Maye or Daniels going to the Patriots
