@@skotabig the bucket thing works like this: if you break your first 8 sandstone in the world, you are GUARANTEED to get 3 silver, 3 lead and 2 gold from it. And thus, we just need to count the amount of sandstone we gather to be guaranteed to get the amount of gold we need. Much easier than keeping track of the amount of gold and silver we need and what we currently have. If you really want to know the exact numbers on the resources, you can find that on the Subnautica Speedrun Discord linked in the description. I don't know the exact numbers off the top of my head. Sorry

@@skotabig and copper, I should've mentioned I think. With copper, it is for every 2 limestone you break, you are guaranteed one copper and one titanium. Thus we can sometimes just count the amount of limestone we break. But again, the Discord server is your best friend here

If you can't use Super Seaglide (SSG) on this patch, you more-or-less have to play it glitchless I believe. I do not know what glitches work and which ones don't. But for glitched, SSG is the most important one. I'm afraid you have to live without a not insignificant amount of glitches. If I can find someone who has recorded a speedrun on this patch, I will link it to you. But the best thing is if you would go to the Subnautica Speedrunning Discord (link in description) and ask to get your answers for yourself

There could be multiple reasons for that. 1) your scroll wheel is bound to something that is overwriting it 2) your scroll wheel doesn't work 3) you're using a freescroll mouse (the slower you scroll the better it is) 4) you don't have enough FPS in the game There could also be other reasons for that. But 1, 3 and 4 are the most common ones

That depends on multiple things. One thing being that if you load into a new world for the first time after booting up Subnautica, it takes quite a while to load. But if you quit this world and create a new one, this one, and all others in the current session are/will most likely load faster. Another thing that impacts loading time is the Subnautica version. On current patch the loading times are much faster than on the September 2018 speedrunning patch. And another factor that contributes to it is that I have the game installed on an SSD. Hope this helped

You need 2 to craft a wiring kit for the habitat builder and then one for the high capacity O2 tank

@@bombbomb5554 eventually you should. but if you get three silver and two gold early on you can also be fine and get the rest in the geyser later on. you just have to count to 26 and then one gold instead of 24 and then one gold. Getting the 2 sandstone in there basically makes everything easier. But for questions like that the Subnautica Speedrun Discord is very helpful. Feel free to join us. I linked it in the description
