I was in that Hell Hole in 1980- 1982 Heroin Hash and Court Martials - the place was in disrepair when I arrived from Fort LeonardWood Mo. -Only thing that was memorable was Sachsenhausen and Steinbach!

I was there from May 1972-June 1973 A Company SSGT.Rucker was my roommate on the 3rd floor fucking loved it,Built a floating bridge across Rhein Mein River with German Military it was so muddling I Loved It!!

i was there that day with my (then) husband spec gary delong, and our 3 children. (we had 1 more after we ETS'd). bill gillespie, sgt bradbury, all of bravo co was there. great day. many memories and many pictures!

Gary LACHANCE. I Arrived at 317th. Engineers in February 1964 at Rivers Barracks Giben Germany. Where my company "D" and "E" companies shared a concern with an Artillery group. Then the best companies of the 317th. In spring of 1965 both companies were broke up and sent to "A" and "HQ" companies at Camp Eschborn. The BEST; HARDEST WORKING, ARMY SKILLED, GROUP OF MEN EVER ASSEMBLED. To our platoon Sargent Roosevelt Greer Britt. You were are and always will be my HERO AND MENTOR. I LEARNED VERY WELL FROM YOU MADE MOTOR POOL SARGENT AND TOOK A FINE GROUP OF YOUNG MEN AND MOTOR POOL TO VIET NAM. MAY GOD BLESS YOU

I was there in late 80's - I can see the back of the PX, the dining facility, and looks like the back of HHC's barracks behind that bouncy house.

I was in the 317th in Eschborn. I tried finding it on Google earth. I didnt have any luck.
This is interesting stuff! Nothing remains of Camp Eschborn today except the huge gym, which I believe is the backdrop for the interview segment. It is a industrial and retail park today But guess what! It is called "Phoenix" And the ruins of the former air base are still there
