Some people are either stupid or manipulative…perhaps both. Here’s a crazy idea…when you ignore scientific warnings for 3 decades, you have to address problems along multiple pathways. If we do a lot of small things while pushing our businesses and government to do some slightly bigger things, we can solve problems. If we listen to jerks like these people, they line their pockets with money from oil companies while the rest of us deal with the consequences.

Love to hear from Gabe. Related comment-Cattle grazing, at the appropriate stocking on pasture is where I counted ( retired biologist) some of the most diverse, and highest bird densities on my Spring bird counts. Fact.

Being able to farm in an imperfect environment is critical for the continued growth of our planet's population. The Italians have terraced the hill/mountainsides in order to use that land for agriculture. Several nations are using hydroponics and "vertical farming" (using walls to grow multiple levels of plants). I am interested in integrated farming, which is placing severe different crops in the same area and then allowing them to each utilize the portion of that land/resources which best suits their needs.

Love the forage quality portion of the discussion. Also the idea of the farmer getting paid WELL for their process, so they can invest in new sustainable techniques

I hope you can slow down. They’ve been building all around my grandfather‘s farm and Iowa. Every time I go back I’m amazed how much stuff has been built right across the street. They don’t care about the generations of farmers. Yeah my great grandfather was born on that farm and died on the farm, and he was 92 and he passed away and he never taken an aspirin or Tylenol his entire life

@paulanderson33497 ай бұрын
The USA farm subsidy programs (ARC and PLC) aren't connected to the crop insurance programs. They are separate. If eligible, a farmer can participate in either one or both.
