Glad you like it. The intercom is Cardo Packtalk Bold. Microphone is just a cheap, no name lavalier from Amazon and the signal is split between mic and headset through a stereo brakeout cable and Y splitter. Not a perfect solution as sometimes the audio is clipping but it's the best I've tried so far. Unfortunately GoPro doesn't allow for any gain adjustment.

Spain and France are very hot in the summer, I would imagine this time of the year you can expect the same. If you want a little cooler weather I would suggest early May or end of September, should be warm enough to enjoy but not hot like over the summer. June, July or August are the hotest months, over 90F pretty much guaranteed.

I have a Telepeage tag and have used for it for a few years, always on the bike. It works really well 90% of the time, the times it doesn't tends to be when impatient cars behind drive right up behind you at the gate. The radar scanning for the tag can get confused as to what charge to apply as there is also a weight measurement which having the car right behind can add to. Even so it's dead easy to look up the charge on your account and request a change if you have been charged as a car, they look up the image on the cctv as they have the time and location and they have always changed it. If you drive through the fast lanes though, you will always will be charged as a car!
@motorcycleadventureslife
@motorcycleadventureslife Жыл бұрын
Thank you, great information. Indeed I was overcharged on couple of occasions and I was wondering why, this makes complete sense. Also the barrier failed to open couple of times and thinking about it, there was an impatient French in the car sitting on my arse. Good to know for the future 👍

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it. There is more coming soon... It took me quite a while to figure out how to record the sound, I have tried so many things in the past, including some audio recorders but it was absolute nightmare to sync everything after. Now I'm using a 3.5mm Y splitter, lots of wires and a stereo brakeout cable. It's still not perfect as you can't set audio gain in the GoPro so sometimes sound is too loud and clipping but I haven't found a way to fix it yet. It's better than everything I've tried in the past but there is still a lot of room for improvement. It's all a big mess of wires. I will make a short video on it as it's going to be easier to understand, also maybe someone watching will have an idea how to deal with sound clipping, it would make everything so much nicer.

Thanks, not sure why you find the comments negative. We loosely discussed touring on other bikes in terms of comfort and ability to do big miles. We travelled on all sorts of bikes in the past so we have a good comparison how it feels. It happens the GS is the most comfortable and versatile of all of them. Also once you go touring you'll see 90% of other bikes travelling are the GS, that tells you something. Not sure how is this negative towards other bikes, it's purely an observation.
