I think it’s OK for us to have feelings about what the Bears do… It’s normal but I also think that as long as we respect nature and respect all of the Bears… It’s OK to have your favourite bear personalities; they are all unique and different.

Great chat and great play by play. The non stop Chunk show has been fascinating since he returned and it was a good time to address peoples thoughts about the recent dramatic events. He is one heck of a bear. I have enjoyed a variety of Citizen Scientist projects myself, salmon counting or whatever helps, bring it on!

32 Chunk. I saw a splashing thing going straight to him. I think he reacted to what was in front of him. He doesn't have a moral high ground. He's just a bear!

I wonder about the cubs & subadults staying with mom longer up to age 3.5...perhaps they have come to recognize they have more successful fishing opportunities when they stay together as a small group, being more intimidating as a "gang" to other bears at the falls

Grateful that I can watch recording even when unable to tune in for live. Thx so much to Mike and Naomi for helping us understand the bears and ways to preserve their habitats.

one of my favorite examples of bears that like to explore is 901; if you see her early in the morning before the big guys make their way to the j she loves to hang out there for an hour or two. i've also seen her hanging out near bucky's shower, it wouldnt surprise me if she tries that out at some point. she's become a really talented angler in many spots because of this trait and i'm excited to see how this gets passed down to any future offspring she has. also i was really hoping you were gonna show some clips of 27 bouncing around by the falls. really funny to watch him, but i feel bad because i want to be successful fishing without expending too much energy, but its super interesting to watch 27 and other young bears (208, 428&429, etc) figure out how to fish and where they fish best. thank you both for the broadcast! i love watching and learning about their personalities from you guys

Thanks Naomi, Sarah and Mike for a lovely play by play. The 747 Bucky interactions have been making my week and I don't think i'm alone with that. Many thanks also for taking the time to ponder the whereabouts of Otis. I certainly have hopes that that such an intelligent bear has sought a quiet water with salmon, berries and little competition for them. If we get to see him meander into Brooks late in the season then it's a joy for us, a bonus worth waiting for.

I enjoyed watching the bears today especially the bear cubs playing together and the grass color with the sun shining on it was beautiful a golden color an the mountain with green colors

164 stood his ground when 856 would try to move him from shower when he was just a small scrawny bear so not surprising that he has grown into dominance. He also was hanging with Otis last year in Lower River late season. My feeling is maybe Otis, 747 & Bucky are related.

307 is Amelia's offspring. 5yr old male. He stands on his back legs A LOT like Amelia does.. I'm sure he learned that from her. He has a really long neck like 903 Gully. He's been sitting and watching Gully fish in his spot on the lip. Wonder if Gully is his Dad?

I felt that 747 was 164s father. Seems like he was so tolerant last year and then this year training Bucky how to be dominant male.

I think it's great that actions were taken quickly right after the bears got food from the campers. Much easier to nip it in the bud before it becomes a real issue.
