My mom took me and my sister to see the Wiz in Chicago in the 70s. I will always love the original Wiz!! It was so magical. I didn’t know who you were Mr. DeShields back then but now I do. This was one of my favorite songs from the show!!!!

Those brides take our musicals and change them all the time it’s about time we took one of theirs and made it brilliant! Been trying to get tickets and my last month is at the end of July. Will be leaving to go back to Chicago and I hope to get them by then Mr. is a National treasure❤ and he is one of my favorite people of all time. Anybody who’d put up with me would 😂have to be.

Well, there goes all the breath in me. I love this version, and it’s the emphasis and how every little inflection shows more skin. Eva’s performance is so vulnerable and hauntingly strong and knew how to articulate (with what she does with aanis’ words) what I struggled with. Hadestown helped heal me, thank you, my forever Hermes, for sharing this. 🖤🥀🪶
