Honestly sounds like a good little routine. When I was starting I was told twenty minutes a day minimum to get gradual improvement, so I feel like this would benefit anyone really. Add five minutes to the start to stretch your body and set up your gear and you've got a winner.

Great first lesson. It fulfilled the most important requirement - I learned something. I discovered some of the triad theory by mistake when messing around, I just didn't know that's what it was. This lesson really helped understand what I had found and how I could apply it in the future in a practical way.

There is so much more to triads! I demonstrated just one example to familiarize with the fretboard by looking at other chord shapes. Triads are also used in building melodic lead lines. Thanks for your comments!

A clean sound with no reverb and delay would go a long way to make this more listenable. :)

Nice first video! I recommend learning the 3 triad shapes per string set. Root position, first inversion, second inversion on the hi e b g strings. Then the following string sets b g d, g d a, d a low e.

Is that that solo part of a scale?
@atarijam

Yes, absolutely! I used mainly the G major pentatonic scale (boxes 1, 2 and 3) and threw in some other notes from the G major diatonic scale.
