Geniuses do not commit blunders, Napoleon committed four of the worst. He dallied uselessly in Spain, he never built and manned a competent and powerful navy, he chose to waste what navy he did have in the battle of the Nile, and he invaded Russia, that was the topper, he lost half a million of the best soldiers in the world thinking himself a genius, but hubris took him down. His final blunder was Waterloo, he went on the offensive when he should have chosen defense.

You make some excellent points! Napoleon's overconfidence really did lead to some monumental mistakes. It's fascinating to analyze how his decisions shaped history.

Its being said once that history is closed circle smth like uroborus. If people don't learn the history lesson it happens again. As we all see West is weak and dictators are use this weakness to show that there is nothing that can stop them including UN, Red Cross or nuclear organisations that becomes jokes like league of nations in 1930s.

Not Hitlers first defeat. Hitler had already been beaten by the British in the Battle of Britain which meant that uk couldn’t be defeated.

Chetniks collaborated with the axis
@TheWarRoomHistoryDocumentaries21 күн бұрын
some did yes but there was resistance in many parts of the country , thanks for the input .much appreciated.
@greglundberg991121 күн бұрын
Although it was not a homogeneous movement,[5] it was led by Draža Mihailović. While it was anti-Axis in its long-term goals and engaged in marginal resistance activities for limited periods,[6] it also engaged in tactical or selective collaboration with Axis forces for almost all of the war.[7] The Chetnik movement[8] adopted a policy of collaboration[9] with regard to the Axis, and engaged in cooperation to one degree or another by both establishing a modus vivendi and operating as "legalised" auxiliary forces under Axis control.[10] Over a period of time, and in different parts of the country, the movement was progressively[11] drawn into collaboration agreements: first with the puppet Government of National Salvation in the German-occupied territory of Serbia,[12] then with the Italians in occupied Dalmatia and Montenegro, with some of the Ustaše forces in northern Bosnia, and, after the Italian capitulation in September 1943, with the Germans directly.[13]

If the movie I watched so many years ago is any indication of true history, then the most amazing thing about Alvin York is that he prayed and sought the will of God before he went to war. Then seeing war in this way stood for righteousness and peace he did an job that was impossible with absolute bravery and confidence in God.. In this way we can all be heroes of the faith.
@TheWarRoomHistoryDocumentaries21 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Alvin York's story is truly inspiring and demonstrates how faith can guide us through even the most challenging times. We can all strive to embody that kind of bravery and conviction.

I met the man briefly in 1994 at the Pacific Missile Range Facility where I was stationed on Kauai. He was friendly, soft-spoken and unassuming even as a Senator but you could tell there was something about him. I knew he'd served in WWII where he lost his arm but I didn't know his whole story until some time later. I'm very honored to have met him and spent some time with him
