I’ll still go with the Milwaukee even if it’s not THE best only because I’m already invested in the battery system. But for the bigger drills I might switch brands for 18v and 20v if there’s something better

So 7 years later..... I have the Bosch. Still going like new! Very, very happy with it! It was totally worth the money! Still on the original batteries. It has done tasks I never thought it could, for it's small size. It's a little beast!

I know this is an old video and you tested the gen 1 skil drill. But i just bought the gen 2 brushless skil 12v drill. It has to be in speed 1 to drive a 4" decking screw. Not a structural screw, just a hillman 10x4 screw. And even in speed 1 it stopped and blinked once. The skil 12v impacter was not deficient in any way. It sunk those 10x4" screws without issue. Allmost makes me wonder if the drill kit is not quite right mechanicly speaking. It did let out one small poof of smoke the first time i tested it but has never done it since. I am thinking about how i want to handle this. Return it or keep it, register it and test chervons warranty if it quits. The store has a hands on display....maybe i should run the test on their display model?

I'm comparing the DCD771C2 vs DCD777D1 both $99 on Amazon. Both 20v. The DCD771 comes with an extra battery. The DCD777D1 is brushless so I assume it is the better deal?

I have both the Yeti and RTIC. The RTIC works a little better. I will leave the cups in my truck in the heat of South Texas and the RTIC is my cup of choice. The YETI lid with the straw hole does fit the RTIC.

why use 12v? because it has the benefits of light weight for lighter job. bosch is the winner for its purpose. smallest lightest and decent power. If need power for heavy job, simply go for 18v. a bit of more power in 12v tool is just nothing compare to 18v.

Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" kzbin.infoUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

It’s interesting that this Bosch model you tested is listed at 300 lbs ft torque, and you were only able to measure 245. Given the 12v PS41 is such a capable drill, why such poor performance in a similar platform. #boschtools #drills #12v

Great analysis. Just bought the 708C2 on the clearance rack at Home Depot. $89. Must have been a mistake, drill, 2 batteries, charger, and DeWalt bag. Got a laugh when you were disassembling the two dewalts, used a kolbalt.

Just to update people the number for bosch was wrong i own the same 12 v bosh it has 265 inches-per-pounds right there with maybe those batteries in it the same ones I have are the old ones so that probably changed and they probably designed the motor for better performance even though its still brushed i use mine around the house and for work my 18 v bosch

Are 12 volt drills even worth buying? ....It appears to me that anything under a 20 volt drill is better suited for jobs not much higher than arts and crafts projects and drilling into soft wood, plastic or drywall.
