Are there plans to make the s58 polygons open source and available in the public domain for utilities to use when planning their respective works? If it was I can see this saving a considerable amount of disruption to the public not to mention the fact that being able to self serve this information means that utilities aren't bothering councils for this information which again takes up a considerable amount of time.

It currently doesn't let you record working without a permit on the day. You have to put a date in the past so you have to wait till the next day to record it. What about Unattributable works?

I do like the idea of this system, but uploading images can be very laborious. As a general rule, at least 2 x on site images, 2 x site set up images, images of the repair or works completed, at least 3 x reinstatement images and 2 (if not more) site clear images.. Unless the Dft are only interested in images other than the repair/works. There needs to be an app for streetworks operative to be able to active, work stop and submit images in real time, this would makes the process much easier for the companies using it. There all so needs to be a guild line of what images are required or people could just upload anything. Will there be anybody or a department from the Dft checking the quality of the information and images uploaded to Street manager?
