I’m Australian and when I have visited the USA on military duty. It’s just easier to fake and force a USA accent than to speak with my own.

Actually the movie accent is adopted from Midwest accent from 1960 it changed over time but holly wood wanted a " familiar home feel" so they adopted a Midwest accent for film

Switching languages and getting the accent perfect is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more impressive. Some people can do that so flawlessly that it's actually weird.

it's almost creepy because her american accent is so natural and her british accent sounds like she's trying too hard to be seductive. her american accent sounds like her real accent.

One day Americans might finally understand that there is no ONE single "British" accent(see vids below!). Scottish, Welsh and N.Ireland accents are more different to most English(as in 'England') accents than American accents are.
