I’m Australian and when I have visited the USA on military duty. It’s just easier to fake and force a USA accent than to speak with my own.

Actually the movie accent is adopted from Midwest accent from 1960 it changed over time but holly wood wanted a " familiar home feel" so they adopted a Midwest accent for film

Switching languages and getting the accent perfect is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more impressive. Some people can do that so flawlessly that it's actually weird.

it's almost creepy because her american accent is so natural and her british accent sounds like she's trying too hard to be seductive. her american accent sounds like her real accent.

yeah sorry but basic london accent to basic LA accent really isn't the extreme switch you think it is.. if a yorkshire actor perfected a cholo accent, THAT would be impressive.

This is how every girl in LA is taught to speak by their brain dead peers. Even news anchors are speaking like this now and it's just one more aspect of how American culture embraces stupidity.

One day Americans might finally understand that there is no ONE single "British" accent(see vids below!). Scottish, Welsh and N.Ireland accents are more different to most English(as in 'England') accents than American accents are. And some Scottish or regional UK accents are almost impossible for most Brits let alone Americans to understand! ! Here're some UK accent videos that all Americans should watch at regular intervals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKrchWWgoruDd80 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2nQq4qhqrSrsJo Paul G

The British watch so much more American tv shows/movies compared to Americans watching British movies/tv shows that it is a bit easier for them to pick up on it.
