I can't remember where I got the chords from/which source etc. I must probably did edit/simplify the chord chart though, as I am a challenged player, and like to simplify wherever possible. Btw...if you enjoy Cole Porter, I believe I've done several tunes from his repertoire, just to let you know ! Take care! ❤🎵🎶

@@wendyweilermusic522 We have 4 cats but love all animals. Hope to get a dog someday. There are so many in the shelter who are just waiting for a home. And we have a good home. If you happen to come to Portugal one day I'd be glad to record your songs (you said you don't have a studio). I have a beautiful little home studio with everything in it. Like I said, I generally get my chords online, or from songbooks, and tweak them to suit myself and my skill level. And thanks for all your kind words and offers, so generous of you! I have been listening to the original Broadway cast recording(with Mary Martin)of The Sound of Music on the car CD player for the past couple of weeks. I prefer Dame Julie, but it is still good fun. I like the jazzy little swing you gave to your take. I do like the dry earthy smell of brown paper and string covering up those packages. I wonder what's inside?

@@VoxRox Hey Chris! Good to hear from you! I haven't heard Mary Martin's version yet, but I can't imagine ANYone being better than Dame Julie! I think I need to go back to my original key of Cm. Dm is so sweet on the uke, but my voice can't quite handle it. In the subways, I can belt out those high notes, not so much in my apartment. Anyway...the rest of us are merely floundering on this one, Dame Julie rules My Fave Things! Hope all is well Chris, Happy Holidays if we don't connect sooner! ❤🎵🎶

Actually it's just 4 chords, repeated over and over, but (for me) it took a lot of practise to sync rhythm and voice. But so worth the effort, it was such a fun one to take on! Thanks for posting, I enjoy your channel. You are very professional, smartly dressed and you seem to know your material well. So many times I see people just throwing stuff out dressed up like it's a stunt or some kind of skit. Obviously they read the the chords and lyrics from end to end from the monitor. And just to be honest with you...I too am reading the chords/lyrics from a chart in front of me, bcuz I just learned this one a few days ago and, although I rehearsed the hell out of it, I still hadn't memorized it entirely. Plus there are a lot of jazz chords, and a lot of lyrics, so...it's easy to get tripped up, and helpful to have the chart right there to refer to!
