Our district needs to pay the subs the extra $500 for getting our Covid vaccine, too....but they said , "No.!"

@@erinr.millar1806 Dallas, Tx…DISD gave $500 to employees that got vaccines… I think their subs should get it, too. I gave them 32 years plus now subbing

I taught for 32 years. I now sub 2 days a week...although I could sub every day!!!!

Oh, my! I looked it up! Looks like "emergency subs" are actually paid more than subs with Licenses? Kinda funny?! And my Student Loans are still needing to get paid ;(. There might be another way to contract w/ subs. I do love to Sub :) Doesn't really pay as much as other jobs - for sure it's "part-time" pay. (Unless you have a contract w/ the school - which I know some districts offer0
