Don't know about other bands, but Manzarek could also supply the drums when needed. I think he was the most important member of the group, and without him they would have been zero. Of course, one could accurately the same thing about any of them. They were who they were because four fellows with particular talents came together for some particular moments in time. Doesn't happen often.

One of the best performances of The Doors out there. At 08:31 to 8:54, that was the most random and out of left field moment in the performance. Is Jim twerking for the cameras and audience? Bet the ladies in the crowd liked that. XD
