If that's a stock motor I'd be surprised--it accelerates in a straight line way faster than mine. Glad you kept the rubber-side down.

Hawks and the word "acceleration" don't really go together. At 412 lbs in a stock configuration and with 37 hp at the rear wheel, their power-to-weight ratio was nearly hopeless. They are good with helping a rider keep up cornering speeds..

I've ridden behind you and your rocket-ship Hawk once at a Hawk event, and yours is truly a special Hawk. I think this one on the film is breathed-on. My Hawk passed through your ownership and I bought off an acquaintance of yours and its powertrain seems to be completely stock. I dynoed at at exactly what it should be for stock (my memory wants to say 42hp). This one scoots way faster than mine does. I enjoyed reading all your testing in MCN. @@MrDanny5835

Nonsense title. My RC31 is light, nimble, and comfortable to ride. When asked for speed, she answers favorably. You ride fast and sloppy.

The NT650 is a very fast bike. Very light. It has campaigned in many races.

I was going to ask where this video was taken, but then I saw "Malibu" underneath the screen. It looked like a typical SoCal "June gloom" day, and that road looked like Mulholland / Encinal / etc. in the backside of Malibu or Ventura County, up from PCH or Neptune's Net. I used to live in Camarillo, loved all the great roads they had back in the hills there! I'm looking at an '88 that has a VFR rear wheel and F2 front wheel, so sportbike-size tires. Like they say, it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow! That thing would rip up and down Decker Canyon!
