Ah love the beautiful artwork. Though I dono how I feel about the card game based video games that have been popping up in recent years. On the one hand its cool to build a concept around it. But on the other, for me at least, I feel a card game is not strong enough on its own to be a whole game. I'm reminded of the Gwent Witcher game, where they had you playing as the Queen of Rivia in a war or something and the main combat just happened to be the card game. Eh...maybe I'm just a curmudgeon.

Ey brother, love the Mafia series. If you ever get a chance I can't recommend enough the First Godfather (the Game) video game. Its surprisingly good. It's older now, PS2 era, but man...I had so many memories playing that with my cousin. I think you might like it!

You'd be impressed how useful it is to go Mutant mode and launch the parasites to regen your health when there's no health syringe in the area. As long as your targets are near each other, you can hit one to regen your health and melee another to regen your mutagen meter. As for contagion to get them to shoot at each other...that's only practical if you're dealing with four or more enemies that are all on the same plane as you are.

I finally managed to get the PC version to work with numerous patches. The only drawback is that the opening narrations for the levels don't function properly and just loop the first second of audio. Otherwise, playing this game with keyboard and mouse borders on flat-out cheating. Nailing mutants in early game within seconds of each other is just...perfect. Like you're an actual soldier rather than a drunk who just happens to be holding a gun.

Were you doing this on PC? I'm emulating this because - for whatever reason - the PC version does not, even with patches, want to launch.

Delta really grabbed the idiot ball in that last in-game cutscene, considering they have artillery directly behind them.

Blacksite: Area 51 was rushed into release due in part to Midway's insistence on having all of its future projects use the Unreal Engine 3, which was still experimental, and already being in a bad financial spot. Blacksite was effectively Midway Austin's Hail Mary pass to get a working, viable game out. It had a one-year development cycle, with eight months of that just getting the game to function. There was no time to play-test and fix things before release.
