No that is not compulsory. The registered candidates can be one source of candidates. However you can also advertise on your website or newspaper for pop applications separately as well.

UGC regulations states it is 3 years. However some universities like Amity have said that part time scholars can submit only after 4 years. So this is that particular university norm not all the universities.

No there is no maximum age for applying for a PhD. Yes, sometimes a few institutes do prescribe a maximum age . But ugc has put no such restrictions.

I have business as well working professional, i disclosed verbally to my university that I am doing both therefore I will provide relevant documents from my business but not from my employer. University says no only NOC from employer is needed

Maam, Does University need to take separate permission from UGC to conduct regular PhD and part time PHD. OR A permission from UGC for the regular PhD can be used for part time PhD also
