Well, I think it’s because devs wanted to make more impact on player that way. They already knew that mutant Tony would play on emotions of them in pain mode and another music, which is different from other mutant music, can make impact more strong. Also, Tony Hollywood is warlord (if I’m not wrong), he is like someone else from other people, who took joy. Maybe because of this, there is different fight music.

thanks! I used birdie on one of my first runs through the game and it made it so easy. turns out terry still can hold his weight without comboing for fire damage! also i never used fly at all. but i saw the video of the guy killing buzzo with puke-lock so, yeah, them status effects

Depends on what crew you run, Terry's Hype-Up is a great synergy with multi-hit attacks. Olan especially. This was my second try actually, my first attempt ended with the perma-death of Terry. Which, obviously, is unacceptable.

Tagmanus i had brad rage olan and fly and did perfect also if you're doing no joy why ever use carp

i like fly too but i kinda got attached to carp. when he's in withdrawal, yeah he sucks, but you can still proc poison/deep poison, atk/def debuffs, and with hype-up from Terry his withdrawal damage isn't so bad. buuuuut, when Carp ISN'T fiending for joy, and he has the hype-up, his multi-hit attacks become beastly. THAT BEING SAID, Olan deserves the buff before Carp in every situation.
