Now, having received some if this collection, Im re visiting this video. I found that overall, I was happier with this collection. I absolutely adored the Ghost one and the Wizard hat one.( I totally agree with you on the names. Interesting, to say the least). I keep debating whether I want the Skellington one. I will be placing one more order this year...I just keep changing my mind about which ones. It is nice to be able to have the chance this year. Im thankful Kringle seems to have poured more vs years past.

Curious with how Mid Autumn Moss compares with It’s Alive from 2022/23? I loved that one but am not a fan of “fresh” scents that come across as cleaning product-like to my nose. Also because of the citrus - for me orange is good, lemon/lime is bad again because it makes me think of cleaning products, and bergamot goes a little cologne for me. @@lunalisa71 Mid-Autumn Moss and It’s Alive are definitely in the same ball park, both very green and herbal, but It’s Alive is a lot darker and earthier, MAM is brighter and zestier. I’d say if you aren’t a fan of cologne or fresh scents I’d probably steer away from Mid-Autumn moss as while it is earthy and green it leans more toward cologne than It’s Alive does. Happy Autumn! 🍂🍁

@@amandahalley530 thank you! To my nose they aren’t really similar, Sunflower and Suede’s rose note is a lot deeper than the more perfumey one in Redrum. Redrum is a lot smoother than Sunflower & Suede as well since it has that nice vanilla, Sunflower & Suede feels more rustic, warm, and woody! 🌻

And yesss when I was watching your first impressions earlier and you mentioned there was a citrusy element in Moss I was so hyped that someone else thought that too, it’s surprisingly really bright, not what I was expecting at all but I absolutely love it! 🍁

Is the Moss or the Maple candle more of a soil, leaves, and fall vibe, in general? And does the Sunflower candle smell similar to the Homeworx sunflower sunset one?

The Japanese Maple isn’t really soil or leaves, it’s more woody, it does have a fresh outdoorsy cold autumn day vibe in general though in that masculine cologne type of way! The moss is closer to soil and leaves but not crunchy dead leaves; it’s very vibrant and lively and green, it’s in full bloom with just a little bit of an earthiness, I wouldn’t classify it as a dirty fragrance though it’s a bit more perfumey. Unfortunately I’ve never tried that homeworx candle before so I can’t say 😞

@@UserABP Yes the rose in this one is the most dominant floral for sure. I've never smelled a real sunflower before so im not sure if this scent is trying to mimick that, but the rose in it is really gorgeous!

Mid-Autumn moss is very different from the both of them! MAM is a lot brighter, almost zesty in a sense, and a little sweet too while 7 days is very herbal, earthy, and a bit spicy. Ghosts Spirits is a bit closer of a comparison in the sense that they both share that Wetness with the greenery, but Ghosts has this distinct powdery floral that makes it feel like a rained on field of flowers, while MAM smells like a rained on Forrest clearing. 🌲

LOL that’s me with every Halloween release this year, the list just keeps on keeping on 🤣 Smoke & Oak is way different from Midnight Cocktails as it doesn’t have that tobacco & clove that makes Cocktails what it is, although if you enjoy midnight cocktails I’d imagine you’d like Smoke & Oak since they create a similar vibe! IMO Smoke & oak is actually closer to Eddies Leather Jacket since you get that smoky leather 🎃

I love ‘The Overlook,’ look! Have you ever heard of Stonewall Kitchen? If not, they have some of my all time favorite Halloween scents. There’s one called Pumpkin Scarecrow and it’s incredible. You can actually smell the scarecrow’s wool shirt! 🎃 So good! Storybook Candle Co is another company I found this year. I’m waiting for them to arrive and I can barely stand it, lol.

Looks awesome! The A-MAZE-ING Pumpkin Patch was the one I was so excited for too but didnt know it was that loud. And the Fright Night Cinema!!! The Blob (80s version, not the original though) and JC's The Thing! That is one of my favorite horror movies ever! The very simple but effectively spooky music, the isolation atmosphere, and those special effects still hold up to this day. Let's not even get into "the test" scene... Classic! 🎃

I usually agree with your reviews but have to disagree that the Stranger Things candles are "spookier or darker scents". I actually got more of a men's cologne scent on these. Not spooky or Halloween IMO. The packaging is great, and definitely reflects the darker vibe of Stranger Things but the scents are a bit of a letdown. (Eddie's Leather jacket however is the most accurate to name). The Upside Down is like a Christmas/Pine scent. It also smells strongly of that when first using the same cent in the Pocket Bacs and it dries down to a distinct men's cologne fragrance. The Demogorgon candle is more unique, but again there is a cologne scent in there. IDK, I still think they are lacking for Halloween...

@@DebsZenLife I appreciate your perspective on these! I think it could be that comparatively to their “Halloween” scents in their mainline they feel darker to me. These feel like a step in the right direction toward what I picture for Halloween instead of a fruity scent. Now I do agree they aren’t the darkest spookiest candles out there, but for bath and body works specifically I think it’s a good start! 🎃

LOL Due to how fast these are selling, I hope this encourages them to try more offbeat scents that are spooky and unique. I believe BBW has many fruity Halloween offerings as they can make triple the $$$ if they can do a candle, body wash, fragrance spray, etc. with the same scent. That is why Vampire Blood is so popular year after year. It doesn't scream "Halloween", but the packaging is always top notch, it does smell great and is very wearable. Thanks for reply. 🙂

Great video! If it gets released this year, you got to try Spiked Pumpkin Donut. It's soooo good! I ordered Harvest Hayride last year (way better label last year). It definitely is an odd scent. It's kind of brassy smelling to me. I was hoping for a pumpkin patch/orchard type scent with hay...no such luck. I agree with you that Goosecreek dropped the ball so badly with the halloween labels this year. 😝🤦🏻♀️

I like the name spiced pumpkin and Patchouli better but not mad it was removed from the neutral white barn line and put into the beautiful new jar. Its gorgeous! Maybe they thought Patchouli would scare people away which is crazy! Its far and wide one of my favorite scent notes. Makes everything better.. Fall apple cider is odd to me too. It smells like green apple and i dont really get spice. And yes theres something weird, thats so funny you say latex 😂 to me it smells like the fog juice you put in the machine.. which oddly enough i kind of like haha. But still! It certainly doesnt smell like cider. 🤔

Yeah thats a good point, i have to imagine it was to hide that patchouli, i know old me used to be a bit scared of it as a note but grew to love it! And im glad you noticed something off with the apple cider one too i thought it might be something with the pours my store got, but theres definitely something funky in there 😂I love that scent of fog machine juice so you're not alone there 🎃

I happened to buy all of these exact same candles! I bought Stranger Things part 2, Harvest Gathering, and Farmhouse Pumpkin & Spice. I don't really like gourmand scents, so a lot of the others were easy to pass on for me.

Some of these scents sound tempting, but I had a really negative experience the first time I ordered from Goosecreek. It was the Scooby Doo collection from last year. Did you sample those? I bought 4 and none of them had any throw at all.

My brother bought me a couple of those, but i never burned them since i didnt care for the scents so i keept them around as collectables. That is really strange though, most if not every Goose Creek candle i've got has been pretty good strength wise, although i don't really buy from them often so i don't have the largest sample size!

So I’ve been burning these with horror movies and I have to say they are definitely giving me spooky vibes and have challenged me big time! And moody witch when I burned it-I got a lot more sandalwood or wood vibes or as my friend said-smoke??…it’s not a spring floral. So I’m kind of obsessed with these and I originally thought these were not Halloween and I wanted nothing to do with them and now I want to buy doubles. In some ways and I can’t believe I’m saying this-these might be the most spooky to me out of all the releases this year. And the art…maybe the best art out of any Halloween candle I’ve seen. These are complex wcents.

Now, having received these candles. I agree with this take. I burned the balloon clown candle while watching Insidious.( I found it a perfect match). When you consider these candles in the context of the paranormal(my preferred genre of horror), I feel these completely hit the mark. I can also see them pairing quite well while reading my Stephen King collection. While I love the deep, dark, spooky Halloween fragrances. I know I am an Outlier, but I actually feel this collection did a better job capturing the spooky element. I was overall happier with this collection this year vs. the traditional collection this year.

I definitely want to try some of the Beetlejuice ones. Probably the first time in a long time I’m actually interested in Goose Creek. Ever since they dropped their large jars I’ve lost interest. But I still love some of their scents. I got large jar stock for daysssss 😂 I don’t know if you’ve tried Crunchy Leaves but it’s my #1 from them for fall. I was curious about the Hayride one but your take will keep me passing 😂 Thank you!! 🎃

I don't blame you, outside of their halloween offerings im not usually jumping to order from them. Wish they still had their classic large jars those were great, i still have my original Trick or Treat and Witches Cauldron, but i refuse to burn them 😂 Crunchy Leaves was on my shortlist of ones to buy, but was afraid it was just gonna smell like bath and body works leaves, it does sound really good so i'll definitely try that one out next time i order!

🎃Ooh you bought toasty pumpkin toddy! It’s one of my favorites-it’s so rich and just love it- I bought 4 with their current sale 🎃 🦇I had to buy witch’s cauldron for the scent , but that label 😒 but I will say I am liking their colored wax for their regular Halloween line. I also bought black cats , because I mean come on, cats! I actually like this label. I refuse to buy their trick or treat because that label , it is hideous to me 😂 thank goodness I have one left from last year. I guess unless it goes on sale for like $7 then I may buy it and remove the label and add a bunch of stickers🦇
