Thank you for posting the video. The modifications you have done to the loom are well worth it. I wouldn't have given the single fuse blowing and losing all lights a thought. I've purchased a boomslang loom but failed to say in the instuctions about getting the plugs through the headlight bowels, as mine is an early 90, so will probably have to purchase later bezels.

Love your video, just one question, where did you get the fuel pipe fitting that fits into the fuel filler pipe. Thanks Ian

Hi Ian, sorry for the delay in replying, it was from Ebay, if you search you should be able to find one there.

What a great video thanks for uploading this. I want to do the same kind of thing but can only find a version of that battery tray that is slanted rather than straight so I shall likely buy the Gwyn Lewis tray or similar.

Hi, Sorry for the long delay in replying, I've been moving house. I bought the filler via eBay. Regards, David

I have never liked the Boomslang looms, they take teh loss capability from one lamp with an issue to two or seems one, depending on age/spec of the loom purchased. I fitted relays to my 300tdi in the fusebox area and basically rewired the cables to the fuses to drive the relays and then the light master fuse to power the relay switch contacts and out to the fuses. The current is higher to the lamps and there is minimal moding to the loom, no external additional loom and all lamp wires are individually fused as per the original spec. If you didn't know, you'd think it was factory. I even have the dim dip working as it is designed to.

I have a Mudstuff Heater Locker with a Cubby on top in my 110 CSW, it is a little high than I'd like but I'm now used to it. Nice to see your installation it's very tidy, I may also add a couple of USB sockets to the front & rear, they would be very handy.

Glad I watched your video before I started, was hard going, but the screw driver with a notch cut out made the difference . Thanks for making the video, changed it in 30mins.

Thank you very much! This locking bit isn't immediately obvious, especially in a poorly illuminated garage (while seats are still installed). Incredibly strong as well, the metal finisher will deform long before the headrest dislodges. Much appreciated.

Very nice with the encoder thing, but hasn't someone ever told you: right tools for the job?! 1. Iron with a bigger tip (no need for the desoldering pump) 2. Please don't use the knife for prying things: it's 90% dangerous

Hey, I appreciate the video! I'm trying to pick a rotary encoder for a project and this saved me from buying a bunch of detentless encoders, thanks for the upload.

Hows the spring holding up? Did you manage to get that end in any further? My mechanic couldn't get mine to fit no matter how hard he tried...

Sorry for the ridiculously long delay in replying, for some reason your question didn't get forwarded to me - the spring was fine and it never came out. I did bend the left side mounting hole bracket in a bit and that helped.
