It should be against the law for insurance companies to take your money for years then they decide to cancel your coverage. There needs to be a law(s) in place to protect consumers. JMO
@trailstoneinsurancegroup26 күн бұрын
Hi @mikky03, I agree it would be great to see the laws revised, currently insurance companies can cancel your policy within 30 days of your renewal or in the first 60 days of the policy ("underwriting period", see my video about this)... my thoughts for a better solution, I would like to see insurance companies not able to cancel a policy without a 1 year notice, that way you have time to prepare for the change... not a perfect solution but better for the consumer. take care and thanks for the comment. ~ Tia

Hi John, we did cite several articles in the video where you can find more details. Also, the problems seem to be persisting... this was just published on 11-20-2024- www.wfxg.com/news/tesla-insurance-losses-customer-complaints-continue-mount-insurify/article_7eeb9fd7-d081-53d4-b978-ee9a7f0d513d.html . If you need a big one. Get a minivan. If a smaller one is good I'm looking at the rav4 hybrid. I really like the Toyota hybrids. Great for what you don't get: No turbos. No sleazy mechanical CVT. No start/stop system. No GDI without port injection. No belts (accessory timing or Wet). No 11 speed torque converter automatic. No torque converter. No 12 Volt starter or alternator. Electric car goodness without the electric car drawbacks.

@trailstoneinsurancegroupАй бұрын
Hi @Growrena, I am so sorry to hear this... a few suggestions to try and get State Farm to respond... first, if you have not already, reach out to the claim supervisor, then go over their head as high as you can go, if that doesn't work, you can make a complaint to the Georgia Department of insurance, if that does not work, the next step is an attorney and public adjuster to fight for the roof repair. This is a tough one, I apologize you are going through this with State Farm. ~ Tia

So I’m a rideshare driver that’s been driving people for the past 6 1/2 years. I’ve had three accidents where I was rear ended from behind. I was simply waiting for the light to turn green in order to proceed. There’s a fourth time where I was rear-ended on the freeway by a driver that was not paying attention. That is the fourth time that I was rear ended . The fifth accident that I experienced my vehicle was parked as somebody backed up their pick up truck mounting it on top of the hood tearing up the entire front end. Unfortunately, for some of these accidents, I had to pay a deductible Which I eventually got it back after my insurance sued their insurance. Are you telling me it’s more beneficial for me to never submit a glass claim even though I have a zero deductible for a glass coverage under my comprehensive coverage? Should I simply pay out-of-pocket to avoid my premium to go up.
@markrodgers9745Ай бұрын
Hi @ImportDomestic2006, sorry to hear of the accidents, good to hear you were not at fault and sound like you were not hurt. As for the windshield claims also known as comprehensive claims, underwriting rules have changed significantly in the last 2 years, previously comprehensive claims were not counted against your claims but in many states and most insurance companies they are now. My advice would be very selective on windshield claims... meaning if you are going to use insurance to repair rock chips you could risk a rate increase or cancellation if you have too many claims. If you have an expensive window and the entire windshield needs to replaced then you might consider using insurance... please consult with your insurance agency to confirm coverages and repercussions of placing the claim. thanks for the question and be safe out there. ~ Tia

@@trailstoneinsurancegroup The Toyota RAV4. 440,000 sold in the US last year. (According to Google). Of course it’s not the top in crash tests but then it doesn’t have the price tag of some that are, but for the price tag they have a huge list of safety features, maybe look at the XSE model or the Limited. The Telluride and the Pallisade are the same vehicle. Same engines, same transmissions, and same tech. Kia and Hyundai are cousin companies. Our 2023 Rav 4 Limited Hybrid has the same Toyota Safety Sense safety tech systems you mention for the Grand Highlander so I would have to add the 360 degree Birds Eye view as well as when on the Navigation system the screen shows the speed limit for the stretch of road you are on at the time although in a couple places along a 1000 mile drive the speed limit signage had changed but the system took about a minute or so to catch it. This happened twice where I noticed it and believe it was because of recent road paving or improvements where the signs had possibly been moved a few hundred feet.

To be fair, with Tesla, they're using a lot of their data collection to build out their Full Self Driving. Many other auto mfrs are collecting data and selling it to data brokers which then sell that data to your insurance provider which could result in your rates going up. Tesla only does that when you use their insurance. Beyond that all data they collect stays within Tesla. At least, that's what they claim
@trailstoneinsurancegroup3 ай бұрын
Hey @stephenpatterson8056, you are right and we think eventually all auto insurance rates will be heavily influenced by the actual driver more than underwriting models. and Tesla is great at collecting the data to improve the self driving features. btw, did you see my video on how the other auto manufacturers are selling driving data as you mentioned, please check it. ~ Tia
