Hello beautiful! So funny how your video popped up! I JUST picked up the brush pen a couple of weeks ago and thought about you :) I agree with you about the big brush. I even tried to see and pretty much said, "Nope...not yet" :) I've been using the pentel pens mostly because I have more of them than the fudensoke. :P However, the hard tip is a bit easier for me to use. Maybe because I still have a death grip on the pen! ha!

Sharisse! Long time no see caligra-friend! It's great to see you posting again! I totally agree that the "large" pens are really a struggle to learn with as I learned as a kid with a broad nib and traditional pointed once I proved I wouldn't hurt myself with one. Which was foreshadowing to trying to relearn pointed nib and stabbing my hand repeatedly trying to switch and clean them as an adult 20 years later. 😂 I've really come to love the smaller brush pens since having to relearn how to hold a pen and write after getting hit by reckless driver 2 years ago. 😢 My Tombow collection is basically for art now while I relearn pressure control to not strain my hand/wrist.🤷‍♀️ They're good for that still Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future!

Thanks for the demo, I came across these while looking for Shinhan Art Touchliner brush pens which I love, but these seem to have a bit more coverage without being to thick on the lighter lines, which I want because I draw, so it was good to find these here on youtube (:

Hi trying to get information on the Pentel Arts Sign Pen Brush, Black Pigment Ink (SESP15BPA) pen and if the work and feel similar to the Fudes (the ones with the sparkles). Also given that the Fudes (ones with the sparkles) are water soluble does that mean the ink is not archival or of the quality for long term work. Your thoughts?

This has to be the most informative and helpful video I have found to help me with this topic. I have carpal tunnel in both of my wrists/hands, so holding pens and anything else in my hands has progressively gotten harder and harder. To see you angle your paper in such a way & holding the pen closer to the tip has been SO HELPFUL!! THANK YOU!!

I recently bought these brush type pens....I need help.... I've noticed the tips are just like fiber-tips that sharpened. A fiber tip just like Sharpie markers.....I was expecting that their tips are like strands like nylons and such. Are these legit? I'm wondering if I just bought a fake brush pens.

There is something in Calligraphy that is a pseudo-meditative state. Perhaps because of the rhythm of the breathing which goes hand in hand with the strokes, and because the brain has to focus 100% to get that consistent flow as it is designing the letters. No computer can emulate that. I found your tutorial very helpful and inspiring. Obviously, you have spent many hundreds of hours in meditation. Good work. I will subscribe to your Chanel because I think it's absolutely worth it. Thank you very much for your hard work. I am a firs timer to the site. Calligraphy has been a passion for many years, but it never took off in a serious way.

I usually write it like in 3,4 but recently doctor was making fun of me in a hospital asking what letter is that and when I said 'it's r' she crossed it out and wrote r like in 1,2.

I've been trying to work with the New Pental Touch Sign Pens. I started Modern Calligraphy after Christmas this year. In your Video..... U have demonstrated the Pens on Grid Paper which I have never tried. I never am happy with my strokes and sometimes I feel that the Pens aren't for me. I'm going to start doing Them the way you do it and hopefully I will get A better results. Thank you for Sharing this Video Tutorial. 🎨🖌️✍️🖊️🖋️
