I know that I have toxic traits that I am in the process of eliminating because I want everything with my love and my actions keep pushing her away. Watching this video was immensely helpful because it helped me realize more of the behaviors I was expressing in a negative way that was causing a lot of tension between my girlfriend and I. I am in the process of becoming a better partner for us, I want to stay on the right track

So… sometimes the partner who is abusive or not supportive is the same one who cheats. This analysis really misses the point in answering the question of “why did the affair happen”. The stale horrid state of the marriage may be the result of the unhealthy state of the unfaithful party.

What if your partner doesn't want to participate or schedule any connecting conversations or relationship rhythms and believes it has to be spontaneous? Meaning doesn't want to work on establishing rhythms, Says it should all happen spontaneously including physical connection. What can I do?

@@RelationShots thanks a lot! I am very blessed to have come across your video. We watched a different video of yours about emotional intimacy and it really opened the way for our communication and my partner came up with solutions like we have to do some common activities together to spend time and build emotional connection. It really helped in understanding and we realized how important it is to have an open communication. Thanks to you! You have helped us in rebuilding our lost emotional connection. We realized that since we have a strong foundation, we just took things for granted rather we should keep building our connection especially after a decade of marriage.

My partner has been having an emotional affair with his opposite sex friend. It's to the point that he has allowed her to denigrate me to him, calling me crazy, refusing to meet me and saying she only wants to see him, etc. I'm willing to end things with him unless this behaviour changes drastically. Not to mention the fact that he goes out with other women without my knowledge. It's impossible not to believe he is or is attempting to cheat. It has created such distrust and has been the major breakdown of our relationship. I feel like I should just walk away and find someone who respects me and our relationship.
@RelationShots
@RelationShots 18 күн бұрын
@@lizardgirl797 That’s definitely not a healthy dynamic to have a partner who allows their friends to put you down. And it’s very hard to have deep intimacy and vulnerability with someone you can’t trust because they don’t tell you they are out with other women. I would absolutely set some healthy boundaries in these areas and if he is unwilling to adjust his behavior and acknowledge how it’s impacting you, you may need to step away. You deserve better

I lied to my gf about venting to my family (particularly my sister which they both aren’t on good terms) about our problems. I lied to her face and she caught me red handed when she asked me to look at my phone and I did show her and she saw the messages. I was scared of conflict because it’s normally not a healthy conflict resolution we have. We have a daughter as well but I have broken her trust before and all the progress I have made is gone. We haven’t had a healthy relationship and I am taking this time to really reflect our relationship and see what is the right direction to go because we are having problems regularly and our daughter is seeing it and feeling it. I just want my gf to be a great mother and myself be a great father together or apart.
@RelationShots
@RelationShots 18 күн бұрын
@@eddylhdl2688 good to hear you are taking some time to reflect on the relationship. You definitely need the ability to address issues and manage conflict in the relationship if it is going to be healthy. My wife had a hysterectomy nearly 9 years ago and that's when all intimacy ended. No kisses, and only friend type hugs since then. She is very closed lip about it and won't discuss it with me or especially anyone outside like a therapist. I love her and won't ever leave her but she is more like a friend now and I have grown disinterested in her sexually after rejection for so many years. This will be the rest of my life now.

I have a question. How comfortable are most couples actually are with each other? I heard that most couples are actually shy around each other and don't like getting naked around each other, so they avoid getting naked around each other. Most couples will never be naked around each other. I heard that most couples actually are not comfortable around each other, and I heard that most couples don't actually have sex due to how shy they are around each other.

"they are wired/predisposed to feel more negative emotions..." I disagree. Women in North America feel their emotions and are more aware of their emotions and the emotions of others. Men in North America aren't given the same attention growing up to develop this emotional intelligence and empathy. They often aren't asked to, and if they figure it out, then they are likely to excel more in management positions. Leadership requires a high EQ (emotional quotient.) That's all for now ✌️ This is me, Paisley

Do not get married. Women play sex for love and resources. Men play love for sex. Only to find that once married, the wife cuts off the sex eventually. Unfortunately, she already has control over your resources.
