13:15 talking about tightness in the tibia, i physically cannot go knees over toes which hesvily impacts my squat and deadlift because i cant get deep enough to stop my back rounding. Other than tibia raises which ive found havent done anything, are there any other movements u would recommend (comes from my dumbass doctor not getting me an xray when i broke my ankle)

You like the cybex seated curl? My knee always move during the peak contraction ruins the stability. Feels like the force shifts if you know what I mean.

I’ve never not gotten DOMS from hamstring training. I hate it. But I endure… Also, my hammies will cramp if I even think about them too hard 😅

Hamstrings are probably my least favorite body part to work just cuz how sore they get so easily and stay sore for daaaaays. I cut back on sets and it helped to diminished doms to a reasonable level. Only other thing that really bothers me is if my low back gets too involved from my workout, otherwise everything else recovers so much faster. Just gotta watch fatigue.

Quick question, I have a better mind muscle with laying hamstring curls instead of seated. So would it be more beneficial to do laying over seated?
@thetoothpirker14 сағат бұрын
Hey Jerry, tucking the pelvis underneath you during a seated ham curl would be the same as tilting the pelvis posteriorly, which would indeed take the stretch off the hamstrings
@JAREDFEATHERRP11 сағат бұрын
My point was you're not doing that when you lean... as the lady said....

The heel elevated shoes are a game changer for me. Love seeing the intensity. And if you support a company then we know it has to be quality. You would only do that if it were the truth. Thanks for another great leg day! Can wait for my Bodybuilding Anatomy book to arrive. Learning about this industry and the sport have been nothing short of amazing for me. Thanks again!!

11:31 what is a good way to work on ankle mobiilty? I view calf raises where you emphasize the deep stretch (they are unbelievably painful) as a form of ankle mobility training. is that view flawed?
@KevinS1005x13 сағат бұрын
Calf raises with a huge stretch in a deficit is definitely a form of dynamic stretching, yes.
@warrenhenning806415 сағат бұрын
2:27 as long as you get a shitload of tension and take the working set to the intended RIR with the range of motion you always use, it shouldn't majorly matter whether you lean forward or not, right?

With compound movements, do you really know if your quads are close to failure or if it’s something else? Biasing towards the quads can make you more confident that they are the muscle close to failure

I had a friend who told me that when I got comfortable pinning in the glute to try the quads and then the shoulders for a week of supplements to get the experience of the pain or diff. sensations. Fortunately, I had minor pip in the quads but it was sensitive enough where if I put my wallet in my pocket normally, the jeans just moving close to the inj site would cause pain. I couldn't imagine a welt or something worse cause walking and training was fine for the week.

More PM lives would be great. I'm definitely interested in seeing some PM sessions as well as the AM ones
@annelieniedzwitzki138918 сағат бұрын
forgive me if this was already answered before, but what is the benefit to having AM and PM sessions in one day? I'm sure it'll allow you to hit your target muscles harder in one day by giving you more rest in between, but would it allow you to train more muscles than is recommended per session? I won't be able to commit to such a time consuming schedule though 😅 just curious is all.
@samraeburn934117 сағат бұрын
@@annelieniedzwitzki1389It's generally for people who are really advanced. They can get so tired from training the first few muscle groups that the training for the last muscle groups wouldn't be as effective. Therefore splitting the session in two let's them eat some food and rest in-between so they can come back and train the rest more effectively. Also muscles grow better when trained fresh, so more of the muscle groups can be trained near the start of a session.

Jared - what are your thoughts on not letting weights stretch you further than you can stretch unweighted? Do you think its unsafe to get in ranges under load you can’t achieve without weight? Could there be some benefit to active stretching occasionally just for building awareness of your active range of motion with bodyweight. Even if your active stretching is just rehearsing the weight lifting movement unweighted before you start your sets to dictate ROM.
