@VortexGarage2 сағат бұрын
I think I located the part number however it does show as discontinued but you may be able to find using this: 2W7Z-3C611-AA Part is described as shaft "Lower Boot" but images show it as the boot with the metal retainer and bearing included.
@VortexGarageСағат бұрын
Also some good info on this thread. I know Dorman makes the intermediate shaft and it includes the boot and bearing. It sounds like you have to use the Dorman shaft going this route. This thread has some great pictures and an account of part comparison if you decide to try this part - www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4132068

That is weird having constant be a larger gauge wire. Maybe the switched wire activated a relay in the factory radio? I mean, it is Lucas. Weird.

Just wondering why the dealership mentioned nothing about doing an early oil change on our new Hybrid CRV. As a matter of fact, they said they won't change it (on the free oil changes deal) until the 15% light comes on around 7,000. We are at 4,xxx now. How bad have I screwed up?
@VortexGarage4 күн бұрын
I would not stress over that. Honda programs the maintenance minders keeping everything in mind. Doing the change as early as I did is an old school mentality and probably not needed. An early first oil change is not part of Hondas official maintenance minders or recommendations - I certainly could have waited. Also being a hybrid the engine is not running all the time so it has less engine run time on the mileage compared to a comparable gas-only engine. While I still prefer earlier oil changes, you are doing better than many by sticking to Hondas maintenance minder, and having records of it changed at the dealer one-time will protect the warranty. If you're really aggressive on it you can pay for an earlier change but to get the bundled maintenance for free so long as it's before or at the maintenance intervals you should be good

Just checked my 2003 F150 crewcab, I have leak from that plugs o-ring. I found at Ace Hardware 11/16" I.D. x 3/16"" thick viton o-ring, .35cents each. I will clean up the tailshaft grime and monitor for further leaks after replace the o-ring just in case the tailshaft gasket is leaking also. Thanks for the video.

Use LubeLocker gaskets. Doesn't look so messy, you don't have to wait 24 hours, they don't leak, easier for next oil change and it looks more professional! Spend the few extra dollars.

I have the same tractor and need help with wiring on the key switch. My neighbor lost the key so I had to buy a new switch and key because the other switch was different. I do not have a wiring diagram and do not know the terminals to wiring order. Will you please take a couple photos and explain the pattern. Thanks Barry Dodd
@VortexGarage6 күн бұрын
Good day - the shop manual copy has hardly any data on the switch itself. No good picture of the wiring. I also don't have direct access to the tractor at the moment. Best I can find in the book is a single page wiring diagram, it does show the wiring and colors - you can access an image here: drive.google.com/file/d/18YnBpXeV0nl4g1ZtaL6FtNUkZc0dTcRm/view?usp=drivesdk

@@VortexGarage Thank you for the diagram. The copy I have is so faded I could not read it. I will see if this will help but unfortunately, the wiring colors do not correlate. Too many wires have been replaced so I am now trying to trace them down. Barry

Maybe Someone can help me here with the differential. I have to replace the differential on my 2022 Honda CRV 1.5 turbo EXL. When I search on the internet, two codes appear: 41200-5TG-010 and 41200-5TG-900 Is there any difference between both parts? or both fits my car? I´m not in the US (different VIN) and the dealership does not give me the information I need

I've got a 2005 Vibe AWD and live in the salt belt of upstate NY. My biggest concern right now is rusting on the rear crossmember, but it's such an easy car to work on, unexplainably roomy inside, and with decent MPG that it would be worth just replacing when the time comes. In the meantime, an annual dousing of Surface Shield with routine maintenance have been the standard course for me.

Just wanted to pop in and ask if you've done anything to the cooling system? It really needs to be maintained. The yellow radiator fan is really prone to cracking blades off and flinging them out of the hood. Make sure to check that.
@VortexGarage12 күн бұрын
Funny you say that, I have decided that I can't drive the car more without further addressing cooling system. Was hoping to and did get to enjoy it some. But noticed as summer came in it ran a slight bit hot on one drive. Not terrible but enough to say not gonna risk it anymore. And yeah though the yellow fan looks good I understand they really crack in hidden areas around the hub. Ive been collecting parts - waiting on a few backordered hoses but got the right thermostats, a new black fan, fan clutch, hoses, new header tank, and gonna pull the rad and either have it boiled, recored or get the Wizard cooling aluminum rad. Just gonna do it all, though I think the main issue I'm seeing is a faulty fan clutch, once I'm in there I'm just gonna do it all. I had hoped to sneak by some drive time this summer and address after the season but not going to chance it.
@MrGermany1811 күн бұрын
@@VortexGarage Totally understand! Every single thing I read about these beasts is keep it cool!!! Do yourself a favor and test the thermostats out of the car for the proper travel values. A few people on the forum have gotten stats and they ended up being wrong.

So, I got the passenger side mirror with the housing still attached, but I just need the mirror part to put on the car (04 Lincoln Town Car). I tried to pop out the new mirror to install on our Lincoln, but it's not coming off nearly as easily as it seems to in this video. Does it just take more force than I'm applying? Or is the passenger side mirror somehow fundamentally different inside the housing?

@pigg2002119 күн бұрын
Break-in oil change is the most important service of any engines life, especially turbo charged. The machining process can sometimes leave behind micro metals that can lead to premature engine wear or failure. This is why Toyota is recalling all of their Tundra motors. The owners who performed break-in services probably won't have engine failure. It's not a waste of money, it's very intelligent!

Good day - just so you know I didn't yet reply to your first reply. My apologies but this car hasn't got the mileage yet to do the transmission. The generation is so new there probably aren't too many that have needed it and thus featured in KZbin. Honda Service data should have a guide. I know prior CVTs weren't too bad to do but I do not know right now what is involved in doing the eCVT with the Hybrids. I would definitely recommend consulting the Honda Service data - link to their site in this videos description.

Please, someone tell me which coolant to use in a 2005 Vibe we just bought for my daughter! I’ve changed all the fluids but although the manual says to use Dexcool, it’s a Toyota Matrix so shouldn’t I use Toyota pink? I plan to drain the radiator and the block for a complete change. Thanks! Great videos! I plan to replace that clicking door actuator one of these days - relieved to see you have a video for that!
@VortexGarageАй бұрын
This is a tough one. I remember looking this up years ago and couldn't remember so did another search. Definitely check out the GenVibe forums for help. There is no one answer I found. Seems many seem to feel that Toyota Pink coolant was used. Many also say that anytime anyone ever had a service done at a dealer they'd use Dexcool. However to my knowledge the Matrix was not actually built at NUMMI - the Vibe was. So there wasn't a split in the line for Vibe vs Matrix. Meaning it's possible that GM did factory fill Dexcool. So id see if you can check - Dexcool is orange, Toyota standard is Pink and Toyota long life is red. They're not all compatible. Now if you're doing a full flush and refill you should be able to choose assuming your going to flush out the old fully. Sorry I couldn't give a more clear answer but it seems hard to pin that one down!

I am not certain but do take care as I think some of the older CRV generations had unique setups including possible fluid sharing between ptu and trans etc. Just sharing that as a heads up as I understand there are some major differences. Sorry did not know on the drain and fill plug sizes in that model year
