I own both tube amps and modeling amps, as well as the most traditional speaker cabinets with Celestion Vintage 30s inside. However, I must say that this whole debate is completely irrelevant because modeling and solid-state technology are the future. Modeling or solid-state amps, even the inventor of Dumble himself (a bit before his death), when asked if transistor amps would ever be as good as tube amps, responded that the question wasn't if it would happen but when. He emphasized that one day someone would make a transistor amp that sounds exactly like a tube amp, and given the way the market is evolving, I believe we are not far from that point. Even without considering that, basic modeling today is already excellent. Take anyone and blindfold them, and no one can tell the difference. Unfortunately, musicians often rely too much on their eyes instead of their ears. ( Most by the way jackoff way to much on gear all the time ( wether it’s new or vintage it’s the same ) instead of really playing guitar but that another debate) In any case, for guitar, the trend is to build things that are always lighter, better, more practical, simpler, and more intuitive. Even the country of origin hardly matters anymore because you can find quality in Europe, Asia, and even China, which wasn't known for quality products, is now able to copy or even surpass some American brands. We must recognize that American quality has significantly degraded, while Japanese quality remains stable at a high level. So, things are changing for the better.

Bad ass! Looks great! Sounds great! Maybe the, “aged,” moniker turns some ppl off. I prefer to think of them as professionally played and broken in, like a good speaker. Beautiful guitar, none the less.

Japan is of course not noted for its precision artworks, attention to detail and almost religious like devotion to their craft. Think Samurai swords, netsuke, intricate wood carvings, etc, etc.

I love that guitar! I loved the mf3 core when they first came out and couldn’t understand why they were discontinued, hopefully PRS will bring them back. Again, I love that guitar!

I am waiting on my orange with maple fretboard to arrive Wed. And we gig Sat night.

Sounds great but doesn’t sound unique. Possibly slightly more resonant than some but it’s subtle. Can’t help feeling you can get identical sounds on many electrics. The driven tone sounds hollow (like the guitar). I wouldnt use it for drive. And when you see the price of this you can indeed buy many great electrics. However Collings guitars are truly spectacular. Best guitar I ever played was an I35 Collings. Pure amazing simplicity. But was us $10k 2nd hand. It needs its own insurance policy basically.

An un reliced version of this would be my dream Strat in terms of aesthetics.

Nice demo of this SE NF3 shows off the pups really well with crunch and cleans (my fav choices). Gun metal grey with the white pickguard and black covers is nice. But the orange is gorgeous.

Sounds like a PRS strat to me with a bit of an edge. I’d prefer a Strat for this thin vintage sound honestly, and a CU24 for that magical full PRS tone.

Guitar looks great just not digging the dirt tones in any of the vids I see online. Pickups are a deal breaker for me.

Damn that orange color is sick. Too bad the headstock sticks out like a sore thumb. They could have blackened it or made it darker.

Ice blue metallic and orange metallic are sick colors. I think it will be the orange metallic for me. 🤔

I have a Andy Hicks Master built strat and it’s absolutely amazing! Seriously! I would take it over my friends real vintage 1959 strat. Even he said the Andy Hicks sounds, plays and feels better and that really broke him saying that.

Remove the Gibson branding, and you're left with something very low end in construction quality terms. I've cancelled my order as this amp is mostly gimmick.
