I have loved scripture writing and what each verse has meant to me. I like you, I have dealt with health issues that can hinder our concentration and overwhelm us if we are not careful, and scripture writing has taught me to slow down and keep my focus on what God is saying to me through His Word. I am thankful that you have reintroduced it back. I am a long-time follower of your posts and your printouts. May God bless you, and may His Light shine through you and your family.

Leah was content.. despite her circumstances... what a lesson. It is so hard, isn't it! Especially when are are around a community of seemingly perfect people. God considers the heart and he thinks a quiet and content heart is precious . That has to mean more to us than getting our needs and wants met. :-(
@stephaniethompson7995 Жыл бұрын
Poor Leah....it is heartbreaking . But based on the names she chose for her sons, she did have a spirit of contentment and offered praise to god.We tend not to do that when we are in the flesh. She did a better job than I do in a similar situation.

I am so excited that I was lead by the Holy Spirit to your Diligent Woman video. This has really helped me out to remember that we are not perfect and we mess up in our prayer time. I will take all of your advice and do the best to be the diligent woman God has created us to be. Thank you very much for your inspiring words.

I'm not sure what you're taking offense about. The discussion wasn't about race - it was about skin color based on circumstances. The Shulamite describes herself as "black" because of having to work out in the sun. The women of the court would have been the opposite of that comparatively because of their pampered lifestyle. It is well documented that women of the court, in just about any kingdom of any nation, spent a great deal of time caring for their skin with oils, milk, lotions, etc. The goal being to NOT look like one has been out working in the fields. The book of Esther discusses this in length with the nation of Persia. The same behavior applied to Esther, a Jew, as it did to any other women who were brought to be added to the King's harem. In the context, the Shulamite recognizes that she does not look like the other women. She isn't ashamed of it - just makes a statement - and asks that they not look down on her because of it. She knows she is different - it has nothing to do with nationality. It has everything to do with circumstances of life - a woman from the country versus women from the court of Solomon.

@@TheDiligentWoman yes and white people skin doesnt turn black wen burnt by the sun instead it turns red , but black people do that y the Greeks called them Ethiopians as the Bible says that the children of Israel are like the Ethiopians ! ✌️

Lisa, absolutely! We need to learn from Sarah to not let a long wait for something we want take away the joy if we do eventually get it. Better to focus on what we CAN do and pray to God about the rest, like Hannah. Bitterness is a drag on our faith.

Wonderful! I think you will find it useful any time you are talking to the boys. My husband has enjoyed the lessons too - some of them were things he had not been taught growing up in the church - especially the lessons about some of the women (we left a few of those in so young men can learn God values strong, faithful women).

Thanks again for your diligence in this work. I have been following you for a while now and the variety of your topics - with the theme of "diligence" in them is most appealing. After listening to the video (replay) I viewed you link and added the "Budget" to the cart and attempted to checkout. For some reason I was able to connect any further. With a couple more trials and even added another item...so far I have not been able to check out. I hope someone can take a look and find the "technical hiccup." Thank you. -Diane
