Listening to this again in 2025 gave a clearer picture of recent happenings. Obesere (Oba asakasa) had his stint and enjoyed his moment of fame, pomp, pageantry and wealth which fueled his challenge and animosity towards K1. Consistency, dynamism, diligence and reinvention has helped K1, pasuma and others stay true to their crafts to keep winning. Listening to pasuma gives me nostalgia of my childhood at Ojo, Adegbite, akala, elegba, awoyejo, amodu, alhaji lasisi, rainbow, labinjo, ogunmokun, olateju, kayode streets. Growing up in Mushin has helped shape who one has become today. Long live pasuma wonder in sound health, wealth and good fortune. I’m a proud Mushin boy.
