This town has with its population below 20.000 citizens the 7% tax scheme for pensioners i guess (its all cities in Abruzzo i persume) its very affordable to live there then. Great video and a very sympatic coupple.

@@variostick9215yes it definately on my abruzzo tour list, i am not in the position to buy real estate yet, my approach is to go to different sized cities in Abruzzo and spend some time there and see how my wife and i feel about it, Sulmona also on the list as a larger city and Palombaro, but also wanna visit cities with around 6000 citizens. We will probally buy a holiday home for a start and later maybe move to Italy when we retire, a split with 6-7 monthes in Italy and 5-6 monthes in my homeland Denmark, it will then be possible to use the 7 % tax scheme (more than 6 monthes must be spend in Italy to get taxed there and receive a bigger portion of my pension. Of course its not out of economic reasons i wanna buy property in Italy, it could be so nice to try out this kind of life, but still have a foot in my homecountry (has daughters and maybe grandchildren one day)

Excellent video on a place I know well. Have used that Bricofer numerous times, reasonably well stocked. There's an excellent sized newish Decathlon very close to it that covers all your sporting goods needs too. We tend to drive in to the Lidl or Conad to do the 'big shop' every couple of weeks and then use the small village shops for day to day. This works well for us and balances the modern convenience with the traditional quiet village life. Nice scenic drive into San Salvo too!

This was fun to watch! My grandma came from this town and I was there September 2019 and 2023 visiting my family. My cousin is the mayor! The church was damaged in an earthquake and it hasn't been open in years. You walked by some of the homes of my cousins, but not my grandma's. Her home was down by the fountain and still says Petta in the iron above the door.

Thank you Mr Stick. I was born in this village and lived part of my childhood there. In your other video I saw the place where the house of my grand parents use to be, at the very top, almost on the roof of the Duomo, which was built in the 16th century by somebody bearing the same last name of my grand father. There was no bell tower then and the bells were logged on some kind of scaffold and my grandfather, that worked as sacristan, used to play the bells with wires from the balcony of is house, just on roof of the church. Some time I played them too when he asked me. He used to go in the church from a back window and a long ladder, kind of daring for an old man with only one hand. I have no nostalgia or wish to go back there, though.

Hello I have a qestion for you??? i am working on my residency permit. How did you decide which abruzzo village to move to? And who did you get your rental through to get residency permit or did you just buy a place then move? I am working on this process. The people i spoke to charge a fortune for rent to get it notarized for residency. Thought maybe you have some referrals you have used. This process is daunting. Cheers. Hi Marian. Thanks for your comment, glad your enjoyed the video. Yes my balance was affect during an attack but otherwise it's is OK. Sometimes I get a little unsteady for a brief second but that's all. When I talked about viral infections I meant ones that might be associated with the inner ear, or that might affect the ear. I still think that has something to do with an attack but you will always get disagreement on that idea. Head up and enjoy life, I know it can be hard with menieres but I am still here 40 years on.

Even my dad could not bear it after that 'Churchill' speech. So when I got him to 'talk' he explained. Mad crew ... Russians, Bulgarians, Romanians ... TITO! They cleaned up all the bad guns off shore with oil from ship and delivered where they could. My dad was a 'Free' Irishman as we say. He should have stayed out. Irish forces, as far as I understand, are only allowed to go to war for the defence of Eire or UN mission. If anyone shopping and cannot spare 2 minutes of silence for these men (including young boys) in Blighty DRIVES ME NUTS.
