Hi, thank you so much for this video! Becoming an OT has been on my mind since I was 8 as it really, really helped me with early intervention, and I also loved all aspects of it, including assessment. But the start of next year I am commencing my degree in Australia, so this was really helpful to understand all round some of the misconceptions I had, such as people not fully appreciating what you do. That being said, I've been told I have the patience of a saint, so I should be okay... jokes. But yeah, thanks for the great video!

@@mrsrussell I built up a $10k emergency fund throughout school so I have that, and it’s sitting in a HYSA earning about $50/month which I leave in the account. For the next few months my focus is on putting a lot of money towards my loans and making a dent there. So I’m really only saving for big expenses that I’m expecting in the next 6 months, and since I have time on my side I’m putting anything extra into investments!

both of those numbers are half of what I pay each month since I’m paid biweekly! I wish these were my bills! But my monthly is 45 for phone and 62 for auto- but auto should be going down soon since I just qualified for a good driver discount. My phone is on a family plan (ATT) so I reimburse my parents for that every month, and my auto is bundled with home, an umbrella policy, and a couple other cars!

I was in this field but i dropped because when i started the clinical practice i found it so exhausting mentally and physically and need to do análisis and document and everything felt so overhelming the work load was insane i was so stressed all the time and did what i could do but then got through burnout, i talked with my professor and she say that i dont do the 100% i did 300% leading me too burnout i was mentally worst couldn't hold much longer and started too reflect. You really need too see yourself if this is for you because if you do it for pay you go nowhere. Even the professor say if i have learnings dissability and ofc i say no and yup i had it they knew all along before i knew, and it all maked sense why i struggled so much and why i felt so behind of my peers it sucked but it lend me to self grow and self discovery! Everybody journey is different

I would love it if you showed more details in your vlogs. You're doing an amazing job already with vlogs, and the information is just enough to keep me engaged. I'm going into OT, so that aspect connects me to your videos. I love the discipline you have. It reminds me of the sacrifices I have to make currently. Recommendations: when you show that you're eating peaches and cream and you only show peaches, you leave the viewer curious about what the finished product looks like with added cream to it. For example, I want to adopt your late-night healthy snack because I'm trying to replace my unhealthy night habits with healthy ones, so seeing the whole snack in its totality would have been nice. Too with the packed lunch in the morning, it was a great clip of you zipping up the lunch but it would have been nice to see what you were eating. Everything else was really good for example you talked about playing Call of Duty you showed Call of Duty. The mouse - - - you allowed the talk of where the mouse was going for the viewer to, also see what you saw - - - where the mouse was going. The relief you felt knowing where the mice were entering the house, as viewers, also felt seeing it. I wrote this out of love because I love how realistic and raw your videos are and I'm so excited to see your channel grow. Have a lovely day!! I really do love your videos and get happy every time I see your post! You're doing a lot for a future OT and seeing the discipline of a healthy life doing the best you can. : ) Continuing the raw Day in a Life video is nice to see. Whatever you are learning just share that, so as you grow your viewers can too. I recommend videos you get excited about, because whatever you love shows through film. Those are your best videos that's why I sit and watch videos of you showing budgets even though that's not what brought me to your channel, your passion and sincerity kept me engaged. : )

Thanks for being here ❤️ your ability to give amazing detailed feedback will be an asset as an OT! I’ll be honest- whenever I go to edit my vlogs I realize (and am annoyed with myself) for these exact things. The external motivation to get a more complete story day to day will be great 😊 I sometimes find myself thinking “I won’t film that or talk about that because nobody cares” but knowing that little things can be helpful- like what I eat or what I do- is amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!

Ah the home buying process is exciting and nerve wracking! Congrats! I have an HYSA through discover bank which I opened ~3 years ago for the following reasons: 1. It had the best interest rate of big name banks on the market 2. I already had a credit card with discover 3. I was happy with their customer service for the credit card I had 4. I could open it online and not have to talk to anyone :) Reasons I like my HYSA with discover now (3 ish years later) 1. It has the best interest rate of big name banks on the market (currently 4.16%) 2. I'm so happy with the customer service, I'm never on hold for more than 5 minutes and its always someone US based 3. The online interface is easy to use Reasons I dont like my HYSA with discover: 1.It takes 1-2 days to transfer money from non discover accounts (which doesn't really matter for me, because I use it for true savings and rarely spend out of it) I keep my emergency fund which is currently ~10K in this account, and I think it's a great tool for saving. Hope that helps- literally ask any other questions if you have them :)

@sandracreatives
@sandracreatives Ай бұрын
This varies a lot setting to setting and is a huge conversation over all. Generally places have a standard of productivity, productive time is your billable hours, or hours spent working with patients. Currently where I work at a place that expects about 60% of your time will be productive, but this is low these days! You should be able to find out more by looking up “OT productivity standard” for your area or the area you’d like to work.
