Can't the argument be made that one baseline can be higher or lower than another? For example, if someone has a set baseline of happiness before losing their limbs, couldn't that baseline still be higher than their baseline after they lose their limbs? Hopefully this made sense.

I did find it useful. This concept help me understand why I had such a hard time moving from one task to another. Thanks.

The way you talk about him I thought he was really prolific, but I just looked him up, and I’ve already written more books than he wrote.

Isn't it also dependent on feedback in that case? As in, reps without feedback, according to this, are not as useful.

5:10 He didn't have all day to do it though: he worked a full-time job at the post-office (the 8 hour day you mention later) That's what his contemporaries were in awe of. How on earth he could be so prolific with writing as his 'hobby'. The man was incredible. (he also invented the pillar-box btw).
@WarriorHabits Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info - didn't know that!
@janeflannery87577 ай бұрын
that's right, he did not have all day, but neither was it his hobby, it was equally his life's work. Several jobs, a few passions - like the hunt (fox hunt on horse back), and later he enjoyed playing cards a bit at the club. But writing was not considered by him to be a mere hobby. He created several jobs for himself of equal import.

I like the clarity of these recommendations, including the psychological part (i.e. that it should be uncomfortable). Copying from Kindlle is definitely something I need to practice.

You'll be fine. One hour of typing practice is a lot though! It can't be one hour of lazy practice, but gotta be deliberate, solid, hard practice. Maybe start with 20 mins and take it from there.

It seems happiness is related with materials things but I agree happiness is a falacy because even the richest people in the world they still lacking something or meaning they are not 100% happy. So what is happiness indeed.

Looking at the word ahead of what you're typing is important, it helps your accuracy because if you don't look ahead your brain will anticipate what the next word is going to be and in most cases it's not the correct word.

Man my fingers are short but i had been able to type up to 100 wpm but i average 85 wpm, while hitting like 78-89 if there are many signs and symbols on the letter and 110 being the highest i have ever recorded on typeracer but i feel so sad about my fingers because it slows me down especially when i leave the home row to be able to reach the numbers and really tilt my wrist in order to hit the right shift, can i still improve even with my short fingers? I mean i have a really short fingers like that of a eight years old boy. Pls i really need help 🥺
